You can apply, work hard and try to move on even knowing that your chances of being hired are slim, or you can not even apply and come on message boards *****ing about how it's no use and anyone who tries is dumb. Personally I'd rather try and fail then spend my life miserable and jealous of everyone who has succeeded.

Throw an application in and see what happens. In the mean time stop complaining about people who have worked harder than you and gotten the job.

Third year AA, UA and DL pay is higher than the top of the captain CRJ payscale at Eagle. Unless you're over 62 years old you'll still make more money moving to one of the majors than you will staying at Eagle.

You are not helping, yes 3rd year pay will be higher but there is a $70 disparity first year and $40 disparity second year.

Not every decision in life revolves around money. Unless you get in at the very front of this wave you'll be flying garbage trips with 14 days off the rest of your career.

Who said I haven't applied? How do you determine people getting hired have "worked harder" than anyone else? The majority of the people receiving interviews right now have been prostituting recs for years or doing an internship in college. I fail to see how they've worked harder than anyone else. Face the facts, this industry is 90% timing and luck 10% who you know.

Do you have any recs in? If not, try to find someone who'll get one in for you.

Yes I do, no I don't expect them to help. I'm also not a douche so unless I'm actually friends with somebody I'm not going to harass them for a letter of rec.

With Eagles new uncommutable line policy I think I'll probably have quit sooner rather than later so I guess there isn't much point posting. I was never an optimistic person but what little I did have, this job beat out of me.

Yeah, well got an offer at SKW. So, I'll call it a blessing that I didn't get an offer at AE.

So I'd pretty much be doing the same thing I do at the regionals but with a 300% pay raise?! That's awesome. Count me in.
