I have no problems with it either, you play the hand you're dealt. Pointing out the outliers getting hired at majors doesn't seem to serve much of a purpose though, not sure what you're getting at. I'm happy for your friend.

Not sure how I can really clarify this. I'm asking what you're trying to prove by saying your friend is getting hired somewhere.

He's trying to refute the misinformation you and RJ Pilot come on here and spread about doom and gloom. Despite what the both of you may be trying to get people to believe plenty of us currently have friends with class dates at the majors. Whether it's slow or not they're definitely hiring.

Guys with exceptional qualifications, solid recommendations, or internships will get hired you're right. Average guys who go to work every day with no black marks on their records aren't going anywhere nor will they. That's the nature of the industry, I'm happy for the guys who get hired, but they're the exception, not the norm.

We live in a ****ed up world and another terrorist attack could happen as well as economic downturn. The pilot retirement age could be increased but at some point those guys won't be able to fly and many in their 60's are showing the decrease in performance. For crying out loud if they increase the age past 65 that would mean that senior citizens would be flying passengers around. There comes a time when one can't perform, health takes over or one decides to call it quits and enjoy life. For many this happens in their 60's.
Debbie, start enjoying the good things in life instead of dwelling in the bad ones.
