Almost any base would be in play however they have started hiring into the CRJ lately which would limit the bases to choose from.

Hello all,
wanted to see if anyone can advise if MIA is a junior or senior base. If senior, how long would an f/o take to get it on a bid? Thanks !
Try to get the EMB the first day. MIA seniority is not that senior, but not that jr.

I expect to see an increase of flying in MIA. They currently have 150 FOs and around 75 lines.

NYC is the jr base right now.

I'd say you might not have to wait long to get the base you want. I was just awarded DFW (most senior base) and I'm 6 weeks out of IOE. Things will be changing quickly around here in the next year, so tough to say what will happen down the road.

3.824 pilots with the "option" of transferring to AA supposedly in Nov. (we are sending guys to AA in 3 weeks and 75-100 guys will be at AA before Thanksgiving)
Fixed it for you

You make the "option" sound like they might not be. The "option" is with the individual crew member. They can accept or say no. They then go down to the next person. They do that until they have the correct number of people needed then ship them off to AA. This may be 50% or the more likely 20%.

I forget, since you dont work at Eagle you might be fuzzy on some of the specifics. It's okay. No one misses you.

I have been at Eagle longer than you have been alive probably...
It would have been SO much more effective if you had thrown in "kid" or "acne faced" or "son"

You worked at Eagle longer than I have been there? Of course. Longer than I've been a live? Dont kid yourself pops. I ain't that young.

Anyways, indeed AA has to be hiring for the 824 to flow. When was that ever in question? Of all people, I am sure the 824 know that best.

the will meter. Now doubt about that. They are "slated" to go IF
AA hires by the 3 week of November. AA start classes every other WED.

Dont fool yourself...
You are really having a hard time reading RJ pilot. Was that why you got fired?

Here is what said

Where does he mention the 824? I know you dont work here any more but there is actually ANOTHER group of pilots BEFORE the fabled 824. There is a group that actually have AA numbers that have to be called BEFORE any street hires. I believe there are 150 or so left and What probably was assuming 50% acceptance. Those 75-100 will be in classes in September, October and November. Thanksgiving happens to fall at the end of November this year which means, as What properly said - 75-100 will be in class by this Thanksgiving.

Spin that one RJ Pilot

Completely inaccurate.

If the plan is to shrink Eagle (which it is) then there is zero need to hire so people can flow. Hiring only needs to keep pace with the required staffing as they draw it down to 1/2 it's current size.

Couldn't have anything to do with the fact that they finished doing PIC type rides for all the FO's and needed the extra instructors to get it done on schedule; and that since it's done they no longer need as many instructors to just run new hire and upgrade classes....

for a guy who claims to have been around the block, you sure are lacking in the basics.
