if you cannot to a top regional now (wiskey, rep, xjt, skywest), than i would say go get that turboprop experience. at colgan you'll fly a lot of hours, get a great experience, and you will get raped by scheduling, which will help you appreciate a lot more your next job!

the only way you should attempt this is to get 121 experience and say that you will leave at the end of the first year.

if i could be where i am now...NO i would not do it over again

i love where i am now, so i used colgan to get here

If you intend to make a career at a regional, do not go to Colgan. As was previously mentioned, you would hate to spend a year at Colgan and then have to start all over at the bottom of the seniority list at a different airline. If you want to get a pretty quick upgrade and build PIC time, Colgan is a pretty good choice. Good crews, fun and challenging flying. If you really want to get on with another regional that requires higher times, just continue flight instructing and apply when you have the hours.

Congratulations on the job offer! Probably feels good to have something on the table other than instructing.

i would consider going there just because other top regionals prefer 121 experience. obbviously, if you can get few more hours instructing, and have somebosy walk your stuff at one of those places, i would rather do so. congrats for the job offer!
