XJet News Thread (NO contract bickering)

I've been on reserve plenty and my frame of reference is the customer service I receive from businesses I deal with in life. What more do you want? You're not eating at Chick Fila and keep in mind that it is their job to make you work. Just make sure you don't get emotional when talking them through what you can and can not do legally and contractually and you'll be fine. However I have heard that being disrespectful will result in them adding notes to the page that they pull up on you which I'm sure can't be good for anyone who acts up.
PM me your name or lose all credibility.

Mike, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Okay, a simple "wrong" would've done just fine

Tony,
My guess after reading your response is that you treat them with no respect and they have a dozen notes next to your name. Enjoy back to back ready reserves Biatch! Sorry, that was out of line...
Here's my developed method which seems to work well. Before calling, know what they can do with you. If they assign something that is wrong, ask to speak to the supervisor (politely). If they ask why, just say politely that you believe their assignment is not contractual, etc. Tell the supervisor politely. If the supervisor doesn't fix it then politely advise them you believe the assignment may be wrong and call your chief pilot for clarification.
I seriously doubt they place a note next to your name because you question something politely and I also seriously doubt they want a rif or whatever it is called now explaining how they attempted to assign something illegal, especially since they know you would likely cc Mr. Holt.

First, I am a middle line holder, not on reserve. But I have spent a total of 6 of my 12 years on reserve at this company.
Apparently you're so clueless that you're one of the few people on here who don't know who I am. Yes, I have quite a reputation in Scheduling, and you can verify this by asking some of your buddies. My reputation is for having the contract, FOM, and FARs memorized, and politely, but persistently demanding they are abided by. I have never raised my voice, used profanity, or acted unprofessional to a scheduler. But they are warned about me in their initial training that if they call me, they better dot their i's and cross their t's. That's a fact.
Now let's talk about these "notes" you allude to. Are you suggesting on a public forum that our company is officially keeping defamatory material on pilots in its databases, which is subject to legal discovery, and may prove injurious to ones professional reputation? That's interesting. I'll have to look into that.

Good g-d you guys are ridiculous. Grow up. Realize we all work for one big dysfunctional SureJet. Nothing in terms of a contract is gonna happen anytime soon.
Before the sale of XJT ever happened, I knew it to be a great pilot group. Still have a lot of friends there. It's a different culture than ASA's. THe bickering is stupid, unproductive and serves only to drive a wedge further between the groups... or so one would think. Majority of people on the L-ASA side who are bickering and being annoying are mostly Atlanta folk. My guess is the same goes for more upper seniority L-XJT guys (not super senior, but senior enough to have been around the block).
Get a grip, enjoy the holidays whether it's with your family or your crew. Be safe out there and take a breath. Relax and realize it's a regional airline. A career for some, but it's never gonna be great.
