APA still has SOME scope in the current 1113 (which WILL change for the better). As such, APA does have "authority" of certain flying as scope prevents another from doing that.

CRJ-900's would just be flown by -700 pilots just like the ATR pilots did when theie was both -42's and -72's. Unfortunately, this time for the same pay.
Yes your right. However as we get more, and we may get ALOT more 100+ more 700/900s, the only FOs who can get on it will be those displaced, or new hires. If attrition is keep scale with shrinkage on the ERJ side, many may get stuck watching themselves go more and more JR on worst and worst EMJ flying, while new guys are holding lines after 2 months on the line, and doing what is now MIA 737 flying all month. It is what happened in LGA.

Senior FO would proffer to displace out of the EMJ and into the CRJ! There weren't any displacements in NY that I could remember when the CRJ came in, that is where the difference was made.

Agreed, my point is if the majors start hiring, there might not be many displacements either, since there would be NO displacement, since things would be moving. 300 guys go to AA next year, there will on be vacancy's and not displacements. This is kind of line 2010 when the new CRJs came, no one was getting displaced, only vacancies (from what I was told). If we add airplanes before we start getting rid of them in big numbers, and guys are going to AA or other places, everyone here on the EMJ might be stuck.

Its alot of what if's, was just trying to say it could happen, it already has.

And that's why I'm proffering to displace in this BID.

Now, that's for the CRJ. As for the E-series, I was told by the ORD LEC, that we can only bid for it on the first vacancy bid.

Ya, well I am not going to commute to ORD from MIA, in hopes that it helps me later down here, but I agree its a smart move for you. However the LEC rep is smoking the pipe dream of the entire union that we will get bigger planes and all be ok in the end, just pass the TA and lets move forward. IF they come many will move to it, however if they dont, we can all sit around and watch attrition be matched with fleet reduction.

I agree...

Bad thing is that they have 60 vac for FO in MIA... If they are jr than you that's great, if not it will suck.

As for the E-series, I was told by the ORD LEC, that we can only bid for it on the first vacancy bid. So AE buys one e-series aircraft, and only 9 captains can bid it. Then they order 100 e series and no crj captain can bid it, is that what I understand?

However the LEC rep is smoking the pipe dream of the entire union No, the ORD rep is there to fight for us, you just cant find him.

History would say that the majority will be the bottom of the list, over 50%, I bet we even see the majority of recalls sent here. However I def could be wrong, just taking a crap shoot. I also think that MIA might be one of the last places to see a bigger airplane base IF WE get them.

Well, my understanding of the 30/70 bucket is that if for EX: they buy 10 ESeries, they will need 100 CA to fly them. Only 30 of the current captains will be able to get it, while the other 70 vacancies are for upgrades.

That's good for us the FOs but bad for the CA. Anyway any upgrade will be getting ATR pay, even if it flies the E-145/170s/190s or CRJ 700/900.
