This is where the term "lifer" comes from.

Meaning I applied everywhere at that point (except FL... I knew that was an easy walk in- they were to be triggered at 2000 hours). DL called first, thankfully. But you knew that.

Hardly 'outed.' Posts were the same from the airlinkpilots and here, it wouldn't have taken a genious to figure that out. I had to play denial mode until I left that place, just to keep it safe. You know, trying to avoid those crazy types who might take this stuff personal and take it to a higher up. I had those threats, too.

How many major positions were open vs how many regional, 91 and military pilots applied? Don't answer with "every major except American was hiring."
There were plenty. No one knows the exact number of pilots who applied, but there were people not applying to Northwest, Airtran, Continental, because they wanted Delta, Fedex, UPS, or United. At least it seemed the good guys were always getting out.

I, along with many others, have been saying this for years. I say I won't move to China to break up my family, then get knocked for it. Or get accused of "hogging a seat" by those entitled. Or can't get hired because I have "too many DUI's and busted checkrides or must be some skeleton in the closet" from the me me me peanut gallery. My QOL and family come first, not yours. Seriously Shy, we don't care what you think about our career decisions. Apparently you can't sleep at night without knowing you "made better career decisions" (in your eyes) than someone else, who you do not even know, and feel the need to state that to the world before you tuck yourself in. Take your own advice..."to each his own" and don't worry about my career, I'll do just fine whatever it is thanks!
You have me confused, I wasn't part of the failed checkrides and DUI crowd as reasons for RJ guys not moving on. That was posted by others. I've also stated before that family is most important, and comes first. It seems you agree with that same sentiment. My only point was against those that considered themselves 'above' certain employers, with comments like "I didn't sepnd 8 yrs here to end up at a place like [xxxx]." They didn't mention family, at that point it just sounds like and came off as ego.

I'm not in the crowd making accusations of people staying back because of DUIs or failed checkrides. I never made a remarkable intelligent career choice. Like 80ktsclamp said, I just applied everywhere, throwing the darts out, and seeing what sticks. The reason being that the regional model is broke, there's no future left in it, and 9E was subject to major cuts. I don't care if one doesn't want to move on, it's less competition for those who do. Regardless, these are all opinions, nothing more. One should respond back with their opinions, as most have done, but a few have resorted to threats, and that's uncalled for.

Not that I give a rats *ss 1/2 the people here know who I am and the other half, I don't go around ****ing them off like you do just to feel better about myself. You wanna play hardball, go for it...
I wasn't gonna say anything about this, but after seeing these 2 posts Shy has just gone off the deep end and I've had enough too. Just a warning that I did not heed the first time. Shy has been having "friends" of his PM people (myself included) to see what they say about him. Those people then forward the "private message" back to Shy, and Shy will forward it to you. Shy this isn't 5th grade.

Its better to have people think you are stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. You should SU for a while you are digging a deeper and deeper hole.

Mooney, I have never outted anyone publicly on this forum, and rest assured, I will not do that.

Why don't you give the whole story?
1. Delta1067 wrote some negative comments in regards to me on a thread.
2. Seeing how he was a Delta pilot, and couldn't have known me, I PMed asking what he had heard about me to gain that conclusion?
3. He sent me a PM back and told me what he had received. He did not share a name. *I did not ask him to PM anyone about me. He shared with me what someone had said about me.*
4. After reading that message, I knew right away from the attack spewed that it had to be you, IBPilot.
5. So I PMed you with a copy of that attack speech, and said "really?" And then you admit to it that you went overboard.
You are some person talking about not being 5th grade. I'm not the one going behind your back and PMing others what a guy IBPilot really is. That was all you.
