Huh? You know how percentages work right?

Maybe you work out of some airports prone to delays, but size isn't an issue. (that's what she said)

"For the second year in a row, American Eagle scored at the bottom of the barrel. It had a mishandled luggage rate of about 7 bags per thousand--more than double the national average. Customer complaints with the carrier also nearly doubled in 2010."

Research report fingers the worst U.S. airlines

Now tell me do those stats include Mesa/PSA/PDT/Air Willy or even SKYWEST???? American Eagle itself is so large its classified as major airline. Not saying we dont have poor stats, but I dont think they are much different than our competitors. Some of them also are the difference between 8.5% and 8.9%. I am too lazy to look, but you seem to care, can you find for 2012, not 2011/2010, the on time, bag loss, percentages by regional airlines??

Slightly skewed because AE is larger? Then how did Delta get a better on time percentage then AE? Is Delta not larger then AE?

Here you'll notice Skywest, Mesa, Comair, & ASA came ahead of AE.

Airline performance improves for third consecutive year, according to AQR - Wichita State News

Sorry if I came off as abrasive. I wish no ill will on the AE guys. Your situation sucks, and I wish you guys the best of luck.

just to fill in

i think you are referring to the fact that DOT only requires airlines with more than 1 percent of total domestic scheduled service passenger revenue to report data.

most large regionals are part of this.

Aviation Consumer Protection Division

according to the latest Jan-June 2012, Eagle is still last.
(the margin to second to last, Expressjet, is small though)
(p.32 of the August 2012 report)

/edit
just noticed that Mesa voluntarily submits these figures, they are not required as per the 1% rule.
(think I remember reading somewhere previously its because they used to have to submit them and then fell below the 1%.
soon to join the mandatory club is probably Spirit)

I will be curious to see how 2012 turns out, only because we have been hitting on average 3 out of the 4 bonus triggers all quarters so far this year. We get money for hitting these things, and most of the time we have been getting close to or even the full $200. I really dont know much about it, and my cash numbers may be off, but they are for on time, A +14 and controlled completion. I dont feel like I got them as much last year. We also had a very easy winter WX wise, and even this summer has been fairly good.

The word on the street is that Pinnacle has double defaulted on their contractual requirements for both completion and on-time performance for the recent quarter. This has caused a breach of contract for the aircraft service agreement. Delta is now legally able to terminate the contract and dispense the flying to another regional. Apparently the mass exodus of pilots jumping ship has led to unprecedented cancellations, aggravated by the new dispatch software change that caused over 500 cancellations in one week alone.

Can anyone provide information on this?

Sounds like the company negotiating team. Do you think you are putting fear in the hearts of the pilots when the pilots are to the "I dont care what happens" point? "Rumor from the school house" this and "Word on the street" that. Is Delta now legally able to terminate our contract and dispense the flying to another regional? OF COURSE THEY CAN. They have been able to do that since April 1, 2012. Nothing new here. Pinnacle is in bankruptcy and Delta can do with us what they please. They could have pulled the plug that day or started an orderly wind down of the fleet like they forced us to do with United. We will be here as long as Delta needs us and not a minute longer contract or not.
