Sorry. I thought it stated a 2.5% cut for captains. And you're right, planes that wil most likely never be seen at Eagle will be flown at 70 seat rates.

One thing I forgot to mention was the new hire +1 training event. Isn't that what we have now?

You're correct. Under AIP there's no cut to captains pay and the 1113 has a 2.5% cut.

That's why I'm a no vote. Doesn't matter if anyone believes we will see the planes here or not. We vote that agreement in alone, flying 900/175 at 700 rates, it sets a precedent. The same precedent set by an airline years ago whose-name-tends-to-close-threads-so-they-will-go-un-named.

I'd bet if we vote that in we'll get the flying because we would have cheaper labor on those aircraft. Then the whipsaw begins. RAH and SKW then say they need a pay cut to remain competitive on the flying of those aircraft. Then in 4 years when its time for us to negotiate new pay rates the company will say no, we need what we have, or perhaps another cut. Thus, the cycle continues

Goes farther back than that. When UAL was in BK and putting the squeeze on the UAX carriers, SkyWest agreed to fly 700/900s for their 50 seat rate.

Lasted years.

Eh, it is a job. Mostly the same crap as Comair, but with much less communication and acars.

Oh an we have contract negotiations coming up, so I'm sure that will be a nightmare.

Hope things get smoothed out at AE and we all can move on from the regionals.

Sick & Vacation in one bucket: We're giving up a week of vacation but we can now use the sick time we accrue. Seems like a wash as the company will smack your balls if you try using all your sick time anyways.

Captains are taking 2.5% pay cut. Well I'm in the what about me generation and I doubt I'll ever be a captain at AE.

Saabs, CRJ's and E175's oh my....could care less. We had E175 pay rates at Comair and the airplane was never flown by a Comair pilot. There is no doubt that Skywest and Republic are going to be given planes and routes. This particular item is in the hands of mainline.

Flow and Furlough....Pffft. You can put that next to the Charmin. Furlough protection has never worked and AA still hasn't had a use for the 200+ guys now at Eagle.

So for me it all comes down to the language.

Tell me where I'm wrong.

Someone already corrected a lot of your mistakes here, I suggest you go back and read the AIP. Home based lines, if required you will have to travel on your days off and will not be paid for it or reimbursed for it plus you will be traveling space available.

I vote no for two reason
1. fly bigger planes for the same i make now.
2. Teach union a lesson for giving away our only leverage before bk.

I think I'm going to vote no because this is a sham of a bankruptcy. Unfortunately, all the captains I'm flying with are so worried about being the next Comair that they are going to cave.

There are zero fleet guarantees and no block hour guarantees.

I agree this will pass. That's a shame. Management everywhere will point to comair now. Ill take a block guarantee. But when we were at comair we learned what a fleet guarantee gets ya, 37 aircraft parked in remote.

I read some PBS propaganda down in the crew room not too long ago..hidden in the fine print it said PBS cuts staffing needs by something like 10%...so IF we keep all the flying we currently have, that's like what..300 more furloughs?

I understand how PBS is more efficient financially, but it's not too great for those of us in the bottom 10-15%
