Actually, this wouldn't surprise me in the least considering how small the base is and the cheaper options to cover a small amount of feed, but Eagle guys in the know would know about that. I only heard about the RAH situation because it is an issue regarding us and scope and not because of its potential impact on Eagle.

I wonder how many of the LA pilots will leave Eagle. This is bad for DFW pilots the most, as they just took all those ATR pilots now these guys.
IF it even comes out as true. I have been hearing over a year how they will open a CRJ base in lax.

Nah, the closing MIA ATR base had no warn letters. No one is getting laid off....yet, plus they still have the warn letters to all the DFW ATR pilots to cover the furloughed.

They are closing MIA ATR tomorrow? No, they are not. That is my point, if they were to close a base tomorrow, it would have required WARN letters. If it is a slow shrinkage of the base that can be absorpbed by other bases, than no letters. Everyone in this rumor keeps saying it will happen TOMORROW. I am simply calling BS.

Lax is destined to close. Will be phased out partially before christmas than finish in late winter 2013. AA will remain there and their regional contractors. Skywest will be one, more to follow. Announcement this week. Possibly tomorrow.

I wonder if some of those very senior there with AA numbers who hadn't planned to leave Eagle due primarily to not commuting out of LAX, might now reconsider AA on the idea they one day may be able to bid back. Of course, it may be a long time before we suck any more flowbies and even longer to gold LAX, but it might be a thought for some should this hammer fall soon. Prolly only a handful in that situation though.

No, "they" don't call me anything but a fellow AA pilot. I actually call myself a "flowbie" from time to time, though. I'm sorry if this doesn't mesh well with your joyous, but absurd belief we are all treated poorly here and thus a justification to feed your anti-AA pilot jones, but that's the reality.
