E-190 is not a regional jet.

E-190 is a main-line replacement and the unions better play their cards right or it will be flown by regional pilots at regional wages on previously main-line routes.

...putting the train back on track...

Republic (RW) "Brickyard" - call sign is taking delivery of 30 86-seat 175s for USAirways starting in January. We may get 175s that don't meet our top pay-scale. We'll have to see.

I could be mistaken, but I don't think the Unions have been to proactive on bringing scope to the new line of jets whether they be RJ's or not.
But also did anyone see or predict this coming, the whole RJ effect on the industry?

"ALPA has been notified by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) that effective November 1, it amended the Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program (AOSSP) to allow sterile-area access for crewmembers consistent with regulations that were in effect before July 2006. As a result, commuting pilots will no longer be required to obtain a boarding pass before entering the security checkpoint at airports that their airlines do not serve."

Hope this helps
Haha, thats funny cause the only place I have ever had an issue getting through security with my ID is at GFK too!!! Guess those guys are the only ones who read the memos.
