Indoc is done in Indy with the company. Systems and sims through FSI with the checkride done by a Company Check Airman.
Yes it was an exaggeration. There is still some value in a type from FSI and a real cost to the company that paid for it. Perhaps a more realistic scenario would be upon completion of training, regional b,which you prefer for the reason of your choosing, calls you out of their hiring pool for a class date. My point still stands.
Back in '07 the Company was poaching -145 typed guys from other airlines by offering a bonus. Two of my friends got screwed out of it because the company changed the terms. After they were hired. And signed the training contract.
Get it in writing.

Listen, you seem to have it all figured out with a defensive response to those who are telling you like it is. If the bonus isn't in writing, I would expect not to get it. I've been at this place for over 5 years and I can tell you they lie through their teeth on a daily basis at the puzzle factory in IND if it saves money. My best advice to you is to LISTEN to those that have been here and have knowledge on what may or may not happen in any circumstance. Be humble and listen. It will serve you well. Good luck.
your post.

Has nothing to do with being cheap whatsoever. I don't need the money. Has everything to do with them honoring their word, and what to expect in the future from a prospective employer. That said some people may need the money to make their own personal budget during year 1 at a regional economically feasible-
They certainly wanted me to expedite their $20k training agreement w my signature on it It's just business to have it in writing, and as stated there is no mention in the offer letter.

What was your motivation for working for such a company?

I don't work for them yet, and I now have something in writing re the bonus. Motives: personal experience, movement, company growth are things I fully expect will happen there. If it turns out I do not like my choice, I have no problem sticking it out 2yrs. I have outs at that point. I am hopeful for things to improve there but I am not naive about it. Working there wasn't my only option but all the choices had very different pros and cons. In the end, I prayed about it and felt I received an answer.

I interviewed Tuesday in IAH. They said we should here something by monday, anyone who interviewed last week hear anything different? Also, how many people interviewed wednesday and thursday? 15 on Tuesday. I left feeling pretty good about my interview, and felt I nailed it.

And P.S. unless you are working for a charity or religious organization, money is ALWAYS an issue! Companies are in business to make it and employees are there to earn a living for themselves or their loved ones. I you get on with Republic, feel free to ship me your bonus, if it exists, so you can defend your moral ground whatever that is... (22year olds for noncheapishness.org)???
The original poster just inquired about it and I passed the info on that I heard. Never mentioned anything about them going back on their word. As for me time is the most important thing that you can never get back. Money can be recouped at a later date.
And if money is so important to you what in the world are you doing working for any regional airline?

Wow, wonder what that means for me as I have heard nothing. Did you hear by email or phone call?
