Based on the author's speculations in the article, I don't believe he knew anything about the regionals other than what he googled.

Agreed.

I don't think Comair will get any airplanes, unfortunately.

Delta can't just cut 50-seaters. All 70 of those airplanes are headed for Skywest and ASA/ExpressJet. Per their contracts, Delta can trade 1 900 for 2/3 200s.

Ain't that the truth! If you are more than 25% on the seniority list a PNCL...You will be lucky to hold FO in a few years when this place has 40 900s and that's it...

I disagree, I figure it will be all 900's to replace the 200's. Plus if DL hires and flows happen at Compass, I don't think the training department train people fast enough for attrition and growth.

Growth??? At any DCI regional? Not with replacing 2/3 200's for 1 900/175. Better re-read that TA.

The math doesnt work WB. You and I both know that an option is nothing. Not a contract to buy- nothing.

They have to give airplanes away to reduce 200s. How would they do this giving them to airlines that don't operate 200s?
