Are there any J4J's at TSA? Does anyone have a copy of the contract they could send me. Paid during training? Paid hotels?? Thanks for the help.

what's jets for jobs? not familiar w/ the term. Contract is under negotiation and probably will be for the next mellenium, paid 22.29 for 60 hrs/ mo. during training, average training time will be two months, and you pay for hotel or crashpad

Is that rumor or can you back it up with fact? Sounds awfully illegal unless US Airways makes all of their feeder carriers accept a flowback clause as part of their agreements, which seems highly unlikely to me.

J4J is a protocall implemented in one of the bankruptcies. In effect it removed the no jets scope clause in return for positions and slotted bidding at any regional that accepted it. PSA accepted it, PDT did not. We have J4Js - they don't. The details are too complex to get into here, but in effect half the new positions created by CRJs are given to furloghed mainline pilots who bid for the position. They are then slotted in the PSA seniority list. ie #1 PSA, #1US, #2PSA, #2US, etc.

There are Airways J4J pilots at PSA & CHQ/Republic. United has (had?) a similar program for their new regional partners; I believe the first couple E170 classes at Chautauqua in 2004 were furloughed UAL pilots as per their contract.

All airlines with J4J were approved by the airlines' pilot groups.

Ill confess. When I first read it I saw J41 as in the turboprop. My bad. I've never heard of J4Js before.
