Reverse discrimination?
It is just plain old *vanilla* discrimination.
There has always been discrimination against every GROUP of some form.
It isn't just the 'flavorable' minority of the month.
Btw - when does a majority become a minority and start to enjoy the various kinds of protections?

Unfortunately, in this industry VERY little distinguishes us from our peers. There is a LOT that bothers me...

I think this thread could have been ended on page 1....
The answer is... yes its possible to get hired to mainline from the rightseat at a regional... but your chances are very very slim, and for those that did it has nothing to do with how much flight time you have.
This shortage that all flight schools are trying to shove down young aspiring pilots throats is not going to be what they're telling you. Yes there are big numbers retiring, but the majors are merging and then will be shrinking.
There will not be a shortage at the major level... keep in mind you are not just going up against US pilots for these jobs... The US and the US airlines make it very easy to come work here.

Oh and btw I know a dude (a brotha')at continental, he worked at a fbo in cali knocked up a [white] chief pilots daughter and before that biracial baby even popped out he was studying 75 systems I think he had 1900tt 1200 in light turboprops... thats how you get it done! I'm strongly opposed to affirmative action, but as long as it's here you would be an idiot not to take advantage of it if you qualify. This is one of those hate the game, not the player kind of situations.

If this is the same lovely light skin-10 I saw jumpseating on usair outta jfk, then yes she does have looks, a little thick, but thats how us brothas like it.

In theory, a great a idea. But the FIRST time you pass on a non-WM candidate becaus they're quals/resume weren't quite what the others were and the legal department is breathing down your neck going over EVERY comment made on your hiring/eval form, ehh, it's not so cut and dried.
