I kinda want to be a stinkeye and bid for a Q-400 slot. It would cost management a TON of money in training costs to send me to initial at colgan, then send me back to initial and the whole 9 yards at Pinnacle 6 months later. I could spend the next year of my life in the training department....LOL!

We arnt short. Those spots will be taken by the Saab guys coming over. There are 100 Saab CA that will be FO's on the jet now. FYI the new SLI is out, we are down almost 400 pilots from this time last year. The lowest number is now in the 2700's.

Probably around 40 will hold CA, and most of those will be displaced to FO's later on with more planes being parked.

Why are we staffing up FO positions, and is this just a temporary up-staffing?
For example, couldn't the next list cut a whole bunch of positions?
