It might be a good move to go to those regionals but who knows in this business. Sounds like we will only move backwards here at Pinnacle for awhile. Then, by the time we lose all the colgan planes and atl 900s we will probably start swapping out 2 -1 200s for 900s and continue to move backwards. Even if attrition keeps up to prevent us from moving backwards will still won't be moving forward as fast as a regional that isn't losing airplanes.

I smell 200% coming back this summer. With no furloughs on the street, I shall pimp myself out for some bling bling.

"...proposal to allow Q-400 CAs to re-qualify as FOs on the Q-400 (while preserving CA pay) to help ease the current staffing shortage in the right seat"

I had to read this a few times. We have got to be kidding with this one. Even in the face of gross mismanagement, incompetence, furloughs, as well as unwarranted and unreasonable concessions, we offer to "help ease" the problem they created? I wouldn't "help" our leaders if they were headed for #2 during start. This doesn't sit well with me at all. I will ultimately be losing my seat, the airplane and at least 46% of my pay; I should voluntarily subject myself to the right seat for sic time, in EWR, and deal with this joke of an operation as opposed to time off waiting for training? If you're interested in this, pm me, we'll talk.

just to stir the pot and to keep this thread entertaining, didn't they buy those planes for you in the first place? who's planes are they? Colgan pilot's or Pinnacle managements? or 9e pilot's?

If you're hired after 2007 it's best just to leave now and build seniority elsewhere. Once Delta parks some 200s you'll see those DOH 2005 captains bumped to the right seat. I hope that doesn't happen but it seems Delta's holding all the cards for Pinnacle right now. Good luck to those staying the course.
Completely correct. Delta is getting ready to turn 9E into Comair. All the Comair guys who left in 2009-2011 are probably getting calls from captains they knew or flew with looking for letters of recommendation. If you are in the top 1000 at 9E you still have time, 1000-1500, soon to be FO, 1500-2000 is a very gray area. 2000+, forget it.

Nothing better than stirring the pot, guess when that's all you got, that's all you got. You always figure there will at least a few that miss the point. I think we can all agree it's more irrelevant and cold though, right? Either way, plenty of threads out there on this issue, and they are about as "entertaining" and productive as your post.
