Mistakes in merging Pinnacle and Mesaba lead to bankruptcy | MinnPost

Looks like they're blaming all this on the pilot group. And if you happen to have a job after the furloughs, expect a paycut....
Pilots are always to blame in airline bankruptcies. This is nothing new

Menke and his crew are worthless. Menke has now taken 2 airlines into bankruptcy, some legacy.

Go ahead and cry some more Menke, cry like the little girl you are. Fearless leader, what a joke

I'm not sure how this is unexpected. You didn't think people were going to take a pay cut? And lose vacation? And make other sacrifices?

Interesting, the first half of the article basically says that incompetent management couldn't get the job done merging the companies, then their excuse is blame the pilots that they took way too long to start the merging process. B.S. with these idiots in charge (or more likely Delta execs pulling the strings) just shut the doors. File Ch. 7 and be done with this crap.

We are now owned by Delta again, flying only Delta aircraft, we should start demanding a staple with Delta. Our MEC should be working with the Delta MEC to get us out of this hell hole and start the restoration of this career by ending the outsourcing. We are all qualified pilots, staple us, get rid of Pinnacle and put fences around the RJs so the senior pilots don't fight it. This way Delta has a chance of getting their money back and can actually get back into the business of flying airplanes.

Delta does not own Pinnacle... they did debtor in possession financing, which means they have more say during the bankruptcy proceedings. They did not buy Pinnacle, though.

I'm all for the big red swingline and some fences, though. Much more would have to come before that... and on top of it, remember Delta still owns Comair, too.

When reps from Delta testify in court things here are going to get a lot worse. Delta was supposed to pay us for the merger costs, however, they denied it because of the Colgan integration.

What are you talking about? That is not true. Why would the Colgan integration affect that?

There was a rate reset from the NW 2007 ASA, but no agreement in merger costs.
