Look at the numbers. Mesaba especially is way over their minimum Captain level for the 200s because of the previous Mesaba Saab displacement, Pinnacle is over as well. Junior 200 CAs will feel the hit in this because of the senior Atlanta pilots.

I know it is fun to blame Colgan for every Captain displacement but this will not be the case.
True, but currently there are about 350 +/- colgan pilots ahead of me on the seniority list. Yes a lot of them will not be able to hold a CA slot right now, but each and every one of them will be able to before I ever will.

Who do you think is paying for the Qs now? UNITED... Who are these aircraft going to? A UNITED carrier, and no the 70 seat jets can't slide into previous continental routes so check your facts mate. Also, daddy Delta can park the 200s. That was part of the DIP financing agreement. You think Daddy D saved Pinnacle out of the kindness of their hearts? This DIP financing gives Delta an out and in BK everything is fair game.

NOT true dude....the 70 seat jets are already doing all kinds of ex Continental routes, both mainline and express. Its ALL the United code now so its legal until a new contract is signed. They can't bring on any new ones, but they can move around the existing ones. I'm not trying to flame or argue, just stating what I know. Direct quote from a member of UAL management on a recent flight "we would rather get 50 people there on time than 70 there 4 hours late or not at all". Again not trying to flame, just sharing an experience. That article stating the Qs are going to a United carrier is out of Canada and also said some other things that aren't true. Not saying it won't happen but I do know that UALs strategy for the Qs has changed.

Yup, welcome to an airline merger. This one just happened to be a 3-way merger.

People that weren't ahead of you on the list previously, are now. It might sting, but it is reality. To believe otherwise is living in a fantasy land.

Mistakes in merging Pinnacle and Mesaba lead to bankruptcy | MinnPost

Looks like they're blaming all this on the pilot group. And if you happen to have a job after the furloughs, expect a paycut....
