They arn't "in" albany yet. They were only tagged in the mx side of FTweb as "must RON ALB lease return" It doesn't actually mean they were there. One of the repo's from IAD to ALB tonight got canceled, and the plane reassigned to other flying.
We seem to have a few down for MX at all times. I know wer just turned a bunch of the classics though their Heavy checks... combinded with abandoning the first class reconfig, it makes sense that we return the extras

Hopefully this will ease everyone's concerns slightly. One of the aircraft tagged as "MUST RON ALB" will be re-entering service on Monday morning making up the 5:40AM to IAD. The two that are either listed as LEASE BACK and MUST RON/PAINT are Saabs.
All items subject to change, of course.

Having been through the ACA/Independence and Comair debacles, I would just like to offer this note. Whatever happens is completely beyond your control at this point. It's best, in my opinion, to simply work on improving your individual situation to the best of your ability by polishing up the resume, cleaning up finances, brushing up on interview knowledge, and keeping your family and loved ones in the loop about possible contingencies. Participating in the rumor mill, while seemingly harmless, only adds to stress and anxiety in your life and is the reason I stopped hanging out in the crewroom during my last six months or so at Comair. Just my unsolicited $.02, so take it with a grain of salt.

Probably the same fools flying for $21,000 a year now.
Career progression has been stagnant for years. I just can't understand why anyone would want to spend all the time and money to become employable by a regional anymore. F.O. pay sucks no matter where you end up and captain pay is only slightly less sucky. There are thousands and thousands of guys with the magical 1000 turbine PIC and still are slaving away at the regionals. The "shortage" may come to fruition, but it will never be for the majors. Even the majors pay isn't anything worth getting excited over particularly when you factor in how many years you'll waste trying to get to those upper pay rates.
I would like to believe this industry will get better, but I have seen no evidence of the glory days returning. This is now a mediocre job with mediocre pay. I wish my company would allow me to take a leave for a while so I could try out a new career without having to give up my seniority. I would have no qualms about leaving if I could find a new career that suited me. This job hasn't been worth it for quite some time.
I am terribly sorry for the things going on at Eagle and Pinnacle. I hope everyone who ends up on the street finds themselves in a better place. Sometimes I want to get fired or furloughed just so I don't have to agonize about weather or not to stick it out in aviation.

I personally, would have one foot out the door. With a 5% pay cut, missing payroll dates, an article in a Memphis newspaper suggesting 9E file for bankruptcy protection, unfortunately it's time. Are there other vocations within 9E, where they're not making payroll? 9E is hosting a Flight Attendant open house this week, perhaps you can put the word out? It's not as if 9E is not breaking it's own Code of Business Conduct, but then whom would this be reported to?

Well after talking with someone who has been in the industry for close to 30 years now and has gone through bankruptcy and 2 mergers. Anyone consider that we may get rid of a couple of Qs but still get a contract raise but for say just 25 planes? Thus making united essentially pay us the same as they were before even with the raise? I must admit it is funny hearing their side vs the doom and gloom on here. Not saying either is correct but funmy how different the opinions vary. Continue
