I had a guy tell me about 5 friggin' times "Aren't you supposed to be up in the front???" while I was deadheading. It took everything I had not say "Christ, you're right! I didn't know the FA could get this thing that far!!"
The elderly women that always ask us if we're old enough to fly this thing is always fun. "Nope - we just keep the seat warm while the jet does its thing."

When in other conversations, the other common Q's:
"So when are you gonna fly, like, real planes?"
"I prefer the imaginarey ones"
"Wow, a pilot. That must be exciting"
"Not if you do it right" (stolen from FI)
"So can y- [ou get me a free ticket to _____]"
"-no"

it was a cold snowy day. We were bording the passenger, when this women puts her head in and say's " Im on the phone with my husband, and he says you have to de-ice this airplane." The captain lost it and said " Tell your husband to mind his **cking business." She just stared and finally walked to the back. I was on my back crying....

What time is the 12 o' clock flight?
Are you old enough to drive this?
I had a girl I knew from high-school walk onto a plane I was flying and on seeing me in the cockpit she said, "you have to get out of there before someone sees you and you get in trouble."
On a 3 1/2 hour RJ flight from EWR-OMA; "oh no, not one of those puddle jumpers again...."---Until we start flying 74's to OMA, you get RJ's; suck it up.
Now days, the boxes rarely complain.... and I'm usually the one making dumb comments.

My first day of OE here at 9E my FA a relatively old lady asked me "So does your mommy know you fly a jet airplane?"
The best jerk pax story I have had recently.... I was flying DTW to AUS one night and the FA kept calling up to the cockpit, "it's too hot", "now its too cold"... this happened about 30 times or 40 times though out the course of this flight to the point it got really freaking annoying.... Well it turns out all the complaining is comming from two people a husband and wife with small kid. Well the kid was getting sick reason being from what the FA told me the kid was wearing a thick winter sweater (it's still the middle of summer) and the parents before and during the flight were feeding this kid milk, grapes and apple juice. (the basic barf combo) Well we got down to AUS made a smooth landing and just as we were rolling out on 35L the smell of puke floods the cockpit... This kid had tossed his cookies all over the place. Well after everyone else had deplaned the parents and the kid are standing on the jet bridge. I try to walk past them trying to get outside to do my walkaround and the dad stops me and starts getting in my face. Giving me a bunch of $hit telling me that I have a lot of nerve and that they had a sick kid and we couldn't get the temperature right... As politely as I could I then start trying to say sorry sir but (not knowing how to explain an ACM bypass valve to an idoit) the temperature is controlled by an automatic valve that the computer regulates and while we try to give it our best input.... just then he cuts my off in the middle of my sentence and says "no this is not an Im sorry sir" then starts this $hit about; typical nobody around here wants to take any accountability... So fed up with this guy and just shy of flat out saying Fuk You to him.... in the middle of his sentence I turn my back to his face and walk calmly away....

Was sitting airport reserve in PDX about 4 yrs. ago when this one came in. Plane arrived from TUS and was sent to the hangar for several hours to clean the lav. Lady sh!t all over the inside of the lav, smeared on walls, mirror, everything because she was p!ssed that she was denied boarding the day before leaving TUS. Apparently the day before, she showed up and was told in the jetway she would have to gate check her suitcase as it was too big for the CRJ overhead bins. She laid down kicking and screaming like a 2 year old that she was not going to be separated from her bag. She was told that neither her nor her bag was getting on the plane and to come back tomorrow, if she behaved better they might let her on. She came back the next day and got on. Shortly after takeoff she went to use the lav, the FA told her the seatbelt sign was on and to take her seat. The pax said she would sh!t in her seat, so get out of the way, she was going to the lav. All this at the beginning of a 3 hr. flight. I guess she thought she'd stick it to the company for the bag situation. Shortly after this she got a letter asking her never to fly on Horizon again.

I believe the TSA actually does keep such a list and if you are on it you will not be allowed to fly at all... and once your name is on it... it stays there for eternity..... Only reason I know this is I had an unruly pax one day and the TSA / PD met the plane at the jet bridge... and this guy was told by the TSA rep. that they were taking his information and putting his name on a list that basically will track him and if he ever acted up on an airplane again his name would go on a permenant no fly list...... Im actaully suprised you guys didn't call sec. to meet you on the ground after that one....
