It is called raising the bar. You mentioned in an earlier post something about respect in the industry. Do you think that you will gain any respect, flying regionals or not, by lowering the bar for fellow pilots?

So what should I do? I want honest and realistic actions that I as an individual should do? Keep in mind that I do not want to be furloughed and need a regional/commuter job until recall. I also prefer a company that is growing and upgrading. So tell me---what should I do?

So you'll accept the subpar in order to keep that hiring and upgrading going?? Your perceptions are twisted because you say you want that just to NOT be furloughed???

All regionals are sub par.

And, you did not answer my question----what should I do as an individual that is realistic? If you can't answer that---then what are you doing to make things better for us all?

One thing that most are doing, is trying to raise the bar. Get contracts that life at a regional acceptable.

If you are waiting for a callback from furlough at a major, how about getting a job in any other field? You would most likely make more money than a regional FO, and wouldnt outsource your own job.

That is a subjective statement. I can provide objective data that states otherwise.

[QUOTE=AviHaters;1145187]Well I guess we can ease up on the scope and let 90, 100, 110 seat flying into the regional market... Flying for 50 seat pay.. After all, its all commuter feeders for "the big boys". Pay doesnt matter. [/

I never mentioned 90' 100 or 110 seaters. You did. ::role eyes--sigh---yawn--cough---throw up.

We all lower the bar by accepting poverty pay to go to work at any regional.
