Oh, does that strike a nerve? If you and I were in the same DAL ground school I'm sure we'd get along great. I'm easy going and not hard to get along with, but if you brought this up over beers it might **** me off a little bit. Remember, my post was a response, not an original. If an out of senority furlough was the hypothetical result of parking the props then, no, I wouldn't be fighting against it. I don't think it'll happen that way. I think they'll be cut from the bottom.
I have NEVER once implied that I am superior in any form or fashion ever because of the type of airplane I fly. That's all you guys saying that, not my game. I would have been more than happy to upgrade into the Saab or the Q, but that isn't an option at this point. The airplane means nothing to me. If I wanted a big shiny jet I'd be on the 900.
You're only proving my point for me. Its stupid comments like "your upgrades belong to us" that are uncalled for. Fact is, your airplanes were purchased by a company that was making money because of its employees. There is no way around that fact. I've never said it was your fault and I do blame management, but I don't need the lottery winners to come tell me to get over something or move on. There is and never will be unity and there is nothing you or I can do about it. There aren't nearly as many people going there as are coming here so they won't hold weight. I counted 80ish captains moving tickets compared to a fraction of that the other way. And your upgrades were obviously protected since there are 2010 hires in the left seat. It sucks, it happened, and I'm not happy about it, but quit the Dr. Phil speech and understand it is what it is and will be what it will be. Nothing you say or do will heal the burn.
There is frustration and anger, not fear in my post. I'm directing my post at all the Colgan pilots that want to keep telling us to get over it and move on. You'd be singing another tune if went the other way. That's annoying and naggy.

Nothing I say or do will heal your burn? Wow... grow up... mommy isn't here to kiss your boo boo anymore... thats just life. Jesus man breathe... you say there isn't fear in your post but you are lying or are naive. I have some fear as to what will happen in the next 6 months but I am not transforming it into hate and thrusting it upon a person you simply don't agree with. You don't know what will happen to this company (actually no one knows), you don't know when you will be able to progress with you career whether it be upgrade or moving on, and you fear the worst (whether it be displacement out of the left seat or onto the street).
I still find it sad that you would be ok with an out of seniority furlough. It seems to me we have 27 9E/XJ folks going to the Q400 in EWR... congrats to y'all and welcome to the side of the house where they don't care about you. Yes, you were right 80 does not equal 27... I got nothing except apparently their seniority could hold it... sorry.
Did your response strike a nerve with me? No... I guess after 5 years I just don't care anymore... I don't focus on the here and now I focus on my future and how I can make it the best future possible... maybe you should too.You will probably submit a snarky response ever thwarting my feeble Saab brain. Thats ok. I am fine with it. Just leave me out of all your generalities will ya? I am too dumb and quiet to be lumped into the smart Colgan antagonizers.

Don't come crying to us when you're on the street because your airplanes that were paid for on the backs of other pilots are suddenly parked. I saw a bunch of Q's this week and could't help but think about how those airplanes start losing money the minute that dull blade starts turning. If you're dreams come true and new Q's somehow appear on property they will be staffed by 9E and XJ FO's. If you already upgraded because you hit the lottery three times in three years have fun sitting reserve in Newark for eternity. That should be a great quality of life. You guys may have STOLEN our upgrades, but I'm enjoying my 20 days off a month at home and picking my trips. Don't get too comfy just yet, the Q4 has yet to be released and they delayed the shareholders' meeting indefinitely. Post-merger means jack to any of us. We busted our asses and put up with shady management while you guys grew and grew, but still made no money. We won't get over it, we may shut up for a while because its getting old, but it still burns, and will always burn. Its easy for the Colgan pilots to want to sing around a camp fire. Hell, if I won the lottery three times in three years I'd be all leprechauns and rainbows just like you. Advice: Stop telling us to get over it and move on because we're post merger now. I'm sick of hearing that. Tell me how you would feel if you walked into your crew room you've been visiting the last 5 years to only see it filled with new captains from another airline. I've sacrificed plenty and I have earned that slot only to have it ripped away. $^&* off with that get over it talk.

The only reason I ranted in the first place was in response to a Colgan pilot with the infamous "your upgrades belong to us." I started this thread to talk about finances, not upgrades. I've come to terms with the reality of upgrading its just really annoying to keep seeing this crap. Its childish and petty.
The ex husband got the Corvair and the single wide, no hard feelings.

Its awesome that you take the time to find pictures and make new ones to post. You must have a lot going on. I guess I should see a shrink if I am on the ShyGuy level even though I wouldn't agree. Pretty funny to be compared with him. He's gone anyways... headed west with Branson.

The 9E merger committee mostly. I don't blame the Colgan pilots, but at the same time I don't need certain people rubbing salt in the wounds, especially those crying for unity. My posts are responses. Sure I may have vented when the list came out. Hard to move on when 9L pilots poke the bear constantly.

But there is one difference between you an me: I would still be angry about losing the Corvair.
