As much as I want to stay out of bankruptcy I am not willing to make an investment without some return beyond getting to keep a job and not nessacarily the same seat and base either. If management is serious they will accept a plan that rewards all the investors, not just the stock holders.

If you're dreams come true and new Q's somehow appear on property they will be staffed by 9E and XJ FO's. If you already upgraded because you hit the lottery three times in three years have fun sitting reserve in Newark for eternity. That should be a great quality of life. You guys may have STOLEN our upgrades, but I'm enjoying my 20 days off a month at home and picking my trips. Don't get too comfy just yet, the Q4 has yet to be released and they delayed the shareholders' meeting indefinitely. Post-merger means jack to any of us. We busted our asses and put up with shady management while you guys grew and grew, but still made no money. We won't get over it, we may shut up for a while because its getting old, but it still burns, and will always burn. Its easy for the Colgan pilots to want to sing around a camp fire. Hell, if I won the lottery three times in three years I'd be all leprechauns and rainbows just like you. Advice: Stop telling us to get over it and move on because we're post merger now. I'm sick of hearing that. Tell me how you would feel if you walked into your crew room you've been visiting the last 5 years to only see it filled with new captains from another airline. I've sacrificed plenty and I have earned that slot only to have it ripped away. $^&* off with that get over it talk.

Munky you act like this is the first time people have had new guys come into their crew room ahead of them and getting screwed by a merger... You do realize that rants like that make it all the more tempting to say, GET OVER IT. Better yet quit if your so ****ed off. Take Forrest Gumps advice. ******* happens. O and the Qs are not leaving

So what you are saying here is HYPOTHETICALLY speaking... if you and I were in Delta ground school in 4 or so years you would still be holding this over my head? How did I steal anything from you?
And *** is up with "Don't come crying to us when you're on the street because your airplanes that were paid for on the backs of other pilots are suddenly parked." Are you seriously advocating an out of seniority furlough?
What exactly makes you better than me? Date of hire? Bigger balls? More days off? Tell me so I can spread the word to all the other Saab/Q pilots to shake in fear of the mighty Jet pilots because of ___________. I had nothing to do with the implementation process as I am sure you didn't either. I am tired of trying to commute and getting lectured in the JS about how I personally am screwing you guys when quite simply I am just trying to get home after working a 4 day that turned into a 6 day trip because of OUR company's ineptitude to staff this freaking place.
"Tell me how you would feel if you walked into your crew room you've been visiting the last 5 years to only see it filled with new captains from another airline." Sure come on down to IAH... we've got some of yours too... and a lot more of them headed to EWR.
Drink some bad judgement juice and relax. If you want to hang onto this for the next 20 years and let it give you a myriad of health problems then go ahead... I can't stop you because you are a big kid now. But you can't fight this because the implementation is done and over. All I see in your post is frustration, anger, and fear and it is all being directed at the wrong people. Try being angry at the people who put you and I in this position... it doesn't help much but it does help.

Have a great weekend and be safe out there.

Oh, does that strike a nerve? If you and I were in the same DAL ground school I'm sure we'd get along great. I'm easy going and not hard to get along with, but if you brought this up over beers it might **** me off a little bit. Remember, my post was a response, not an original. If an out of senority furlough was the hypothetical result of parking the props then, no, I wouldn't be fighting against it. I don't think it'll happen that way. I think they'll be cut from the bottom.
I have NEVER once implied that I am superior in any form or fashion ever because of the type of airplane I fly. That's all you guys saying that, not my game. I would have been more than happy to upgrade into the Saab or the Q, but that isn't an option at this point. The airplane means nothing to me. If I wanted a big shiny jet I'd be on the 900.
You're only proving my point for me. Its stupid comments like "your upgrades belong to us" that are uncalled for. Fact is, your airplanes were purchased by a company that was making money because of its employees. There is no way around that fact. I've never said it was your fault and I do blame management, but I don't need the lottery winners to come tell me to get over something or move on. There is and never will be unity and there is nothing you or I can do about it. There aren't nearly as many people going there as are coming here so they won't hold weight. I counted 80ish captains moving tickets compared to a fraction of that the other way. And your upgrades were obviously protected since there are 2010 hires in the left seat. It sucks, it happened, and I'm not happy about it, but quit the Dr. Phil speech and understand it is what it is and will be what it will be. Nothing you say or do will heal the burn.
There is frustration and anger, not fear in my post. I'm directing my post at all the Colgan pilots that want to keep telling us to get over it and move on. You'd be singing another tune if went the other way. That's annoying and naggy.
