I did? Where did I say I wanted equal priority over retirees on DL planes? Look my post up, you'll see it mentions getting better priority on our OWN planes, especially the ones we bought with our own money.

It ain't mine either. But when you talk about condescending, please reference your own initial post mocking regional pilots. I can't tell you how many DL pilots I've seen recently with those same backpacks, iPads, earphones while in uniform.

Don't accuse a group and call me condescending for shooting right back at a different group.

hey genious I am a regional pilot at your own company. And if you look at my post it was obviously because I knew someone would come along and say those things as always happens on here, I wasn't the one accusing regional pilots of all those things. Sarcasm....look it up and enjoy life a little more.... If it was not a joke i would not have put [insert regional pilot joke i.e. backpacks here]. I would have flat out said "you regional spiked hair highlighted guys of which I am a member of do not deserve to be ahead of me." Comprende?

As to the retirement priority issue, my bad you didn't say that I thought that you were one of the ones that used to whine in the crewroom and on the airlinkpilots website about DL retirees bumping you on DL equipment and I misinterpreted the tone of your post. My apologies.

Plus what's with all the "you guys" references? I don't work at Delta. I'm allowed to believe in a pro-mainline priority and without thinking the world revolves around me.

Not really (at least for me) I want to see those ACTIVELY generating the revenue to keep the company/benefits coming get to/from work ahead of my (hopefully someday) retired giezer ass with nothing better to do. For the record I don't (and probably would quit before having to for Pinnacle) commute and even at that I still think it's poor form for a CURRENTLY working employee generating revenue for the company, reguardless of if it is mainline or connection. Yes I absolutely agree that mainline should get priority on Delta flights but why should a retiree's kids traveling without the employee get priority over me, who is actively working, generating revenue for Delta? Heck most of the time those kids did NOTHING for Delta yet go ahead of me, trying to get home to work. I could probably be talked into dependants traveling with the retiree going first on their own flights, but ahead of me on my flight without the retiree even with them... FAIL!

I think you mean Delta Employee's kids? I don't think Retiree's kids gets benefits unless it's on a buddy pass, who goes below us. I'm not saying I agree with what Delta is doing but I'll use your example. What about my kids and my spouse? Since they are not generating any revenue for Delta. Would you be mad if your whole family got split up and your kids or spouse didn't get on, however you did since you are S3C however there's a lot of Compass, Skywest, ASA Go Jets bump the rest of your family, since you say they not generating revenue. I know it sucks that we get bumped when some retirees who wants to go on a mini vacation while you're trying to get home or work. Where should our spouse or kids stand since they are not generating revenue for Delta. Should they go below us active employees or keep it the same. If we keep it the same as us, shouldn't Delta's spouse or kids be the same as the active employees too?

In almost all of your examples the family members are going to be the last people to get on the plane no matter what. I'm not sure what your point is? Why would anyone be mad if their family traveling for fun didn't get on because of a pilot commuting to/from work? The point is simple, why would Delta risk revenue from a cancelled flight because a pilot can't get to work which resulted from non-revs trying to get to ATL to catch their flight to Cancun?

I am just fed up with the usual accusations coming from our mainline partners acting as if they represent everything that's holly.

You're right. Who am I to act like I represent that beautiful family of flowering plants?

Yes I meant DL kids. And yes they have priority over us. I was bumped off a number of flights trying to get home (yes with my wife) by a retirees kids NOT traveling with the retiree. I don't have an issue IF the retiree is with them just as I would expect my wife to travel at my priority IF I am with her. When I sent her to see her mother by herself, no I wouldn't expect the same priority level (though still higher than mainline since I sent her on one of my company's planes) I think it should be just like with buddy passes where if they were traveling WITH the employee they had the employees priority. If they traveled WITHOUT the employee, well good luck getting anywhere, back of the line they go. Same for non employees. With the worker, same priority, without, back of the line.

Sorry for the minor thread hijack.

What is the 9E Pilot Forum web site again? The one that started up, again, about 3 months ago.

Thanks!
