Wouldn't be the first time thats been done at Pinnacle. I heard the captain got in some trouble for it though.
Yes, it is true. The Saabs are going away next year. They will be replaced two for one by B1900s which will all be single pilot crewed. Since so few of the present employees have single pilot experience, the company will be looking for direct hire CAs with King Air and 1900 time.
Also, the Qs and 900s will be converted to corporate ships and offered for charter under under the new name "Ultimate Comfort Airways" (which will fail miserably as all self branded regionals have). The 200s will all be converted to cargo ships under a contract with DHL and branded as the new ABEX; unfortunately, as DHL wants nothing to do with domestic operations, the 200s will be retired 90 days after the new contract is signed.
In the end, all but 72 pilots will be furloughed, and those who remain will be forced to toss cans of soda back to the 19 pax since there will no FAs left.[/QUOTE]
Nah, Just pitch up and roll 'em down the aisle.

Forgive me if I get misty-eyed, but this is a very proud moment. First off, I'd like to thank the Academy, I never thought one little post would bring such a huge response!
We tested little cups and found getting to the last three rows without spillage was a challenge. The only good way was to enter a zero "g" dive and let them float back. Not too tough, but ATC hated it.
We tried that too. But by the time the cans got to the back rows, they were so dirty, no one could read the labels.
Did he fill out an ASAP report? Trust me, THEY WORK! And thanks to one, so do I
There will be three groups of furloughees:
The vast majority will find other jobs at current carriers. Most will have average pilot lives: a failed marriage or two and a healthy crop of ulcers.
About 10% of the most disgruntled, high hour FOs will go to Hulas' newest creation, a hip-hop themed airline called S.K.RooJet (say it three times fast) flying 737-800s for Mesa E-145 rates.
The last few, only a handful really, will be the most successful. They will form a new competitor to ATP offering zero-to-hero classes for $10k less. How is this possible? With the upcoming ATP requirement looming, they will offer CFIs a guarantee of 1500 hours TT. It includes free room (hot-racked bunk beds in an old hanger) and board (two slices of bread, one slice of velveta, and a cup of ramen each day), but sadly, no pay. Sadly, seven years and multiple millions of dollars later, most of the group will be presumed dead following the "loss" of their airplane in the Bermuda Triangle as they were flying back to the States to face tax evasion charges. In the news the same week, France announced the sale of most of the Society Islands.
Yes, I do make serious posts, but as rarely as possible Had I not leaned to make jokes about flowbacks, paycuts, and furloughs, I would be making a Gastroenterologist rich.
*Sniff* *Sniff* Thank you! I do it for all of you, my adoring fans. Bless you all!

This is a thread about rumor and speculation. FlyJSH was just pointing out the futility in talking about rumors as if they were fact.
This is an internet forum, not anything official, so who cares if people post things that are not serious. If you want a serious conversation start your own forum with even more rules.
Also, FlyJSH has plenty of serious non-BS posts.
