Wow, dont you work for Pinnacle and they have CRJ 900s. Those hold what over 70 seats, and you are b**ching cause people want more Qs? But your the one who flys a bigger plane with more seats. Pretty sure you have this SJS!!!!

If your so high and mighty about being above this regional flying, why do you work for one??? If you dont agree with regional flying like you said you agreed 500% to mainline flying why dont you quit and and sit at home and not be employed by a regional?

I never wanted them. But now that they are here, at least the original Pinnacle only had 16. That's a lot less than some other regionals taking more and more flying from mainline. And I'll be quiting just as soon as I get hired somewhere bigger/better, but that can't happen when there are SJS regional hores who are willing to sell themselves out for more RJ flying.

Not anymore, I know better.

Those 900s should be flown at the legacy airline level. For Pete's sake, Air Canada has got it right! They gave out the 700s/900s to Air Canada Jazz but every single EMB-170/175/190 is at mainline Air Canada. In fact, the entry-level position at Air Canada is on the Embraer 170/175. That's how it should have been here. Instead, we have Republic the world's largest operator of "E-Jets"

You know what? I actually hope we at 9E lose all the Qs and the CRJ-900s. I hope mainline takes that flying back! Do you realize that Delta pilots have a published payrate for the bigger RJs? Regionals should never have expanded beyond the 50 seat market, but now that it has, I look forward to it getting cut back. Take the greater than 70 seaters back to mainline, and let the regionals operate the 50 seaters or less. Then as time continues and the 50 seaters become less efficient, right-size the regionals by having them park a portion of the 50-seater fleet. After 9/11 we had a huge disproportionate amount of growth in 50 seater RJs. It's time to take that back. Regionals should shrink, some should disappear altogether, and the bigger RJs should be operated by mainline. Sure AA will have to operate the 900, but it should be AA pilots that do it! Only those pilots willing to whhore themselves out (like you) say something stupid like you would be ticked off if your regional didn't bid for that flying. If that's how you truly feel, then you don't get it!
I agree with mainline flying. But you said this thread is about SJS, but ALL of us COLGAN pilots have been flying props for 10 plus years. and the first regional you go to has nothing but jets. You think if we had SJS we woulda started off with a place that has jets?? And let me guess, had you got the ability to hold Q CA you wouldnt have crossed to the 9L side for the upgrade. Cause if you had, why you getting upset with people coming from 9L to 9E side?

Everything you say contradicts everything you want, you just dont want to admit:
-You would have gone to Q CA
-You preach about the crap regionals and we all are scum, but yet you work for one
-You preach about scope, but yet you fly for a regional that has 900s

No, I never applied. My red flag went up when they wanted the application/resume emailed to a gmail address. It sounded too fishy, and I didn't want my private application info to go to a questionable email address.

so after a month of wanting to go to GoJet you have sidenly come to a conclusion in 24 hours that you don't want to?

And duh of course you will be quitting as soon as (IF) you get hired by someone bigger/better....

Good to know that it had nothing to do with the original screwing of TSA pilots, the furloughing of TSA pilots, undercutting wages and work rules, whipsaw, flying mainline planes for regional wages (you said it) etc. All came down to Gmail.

None of this is my choosing! If it was up to me, I'd stay in the -200 and upgrade only in the -200. I have no business being a direct entry Captain into a Q with 0 time, with a brand new FO that barely has 100 hrs in the plane, and a new environment at EWR. No thanks, that's too much green on green, just a disaster waiting to happen. I have 4k+ hours on the -200, and I would liked to have upgraded on that. But that's a pipedream now. Instead, you'll have the opposite: guys from Colgan coming to the RJ-200 with zero jet time, zero -200 time, and potentially with a brand new FO at JFK. That's another accident/incident/violation waiting to happen. I'm already hearing of Colgan guys struggling in training, and it's only going to get worse with the allowance of projecting your hours into the future. Theoretically, you could have guys with 1700TT get a Captain bid award because they are projected to be at 2500TT by June. Total BS!

Blame TSA's MEC Chairman for taking a final stand without any leverage. How did he expect to win? You need to fight fire with something more than just one drop of water.
