rumor on the street is that interviewing and classes are starting up full bore again in nov. Evidently the company really thinks we are getting the 15 200's back and getting the 900's (which would be nice). Also the rumor mill is the regional acad guys and atp guys will not be getting the same deal they had b/c of the attitude issues from many of em (I already know this plane so I shouldnt have to sit through ground school) and many have issues in the sim... (hmm wonder why with less than 500 hrs.... who knows...

But why in the world should I pay for training? It doesn't make sense to me to spend $6000 for something that isn't guaranteed... I know of a few university's that require CRJ ground school and some sim time to meet graduation requirements but after finishing school I have to go back and spend more for what people should be paying me to do... go through ground school and type that is. I admit I have a very low TT and my experience on turboprop aircraft have come easily for me through contacts in the industry. And I will admit in retrospect I probably kept more qualified people (higher TT) from sitting in the right seat. But why should I shell out more money (especially when I am already in debt.) to "have an opportunity to interview" with a regional?

Last I heard 4 in the class in front of me (currently dealing with checkrides and IOE) had been canned and 1 more was on the chopping black after failing a checkride.... maybe I am missing something but a little studying and 'cooperate-graduate" comes to mind...

A good friend of mine is a check airman at 9E, he says it is the really low time 250-500 hours total time that have had some diffuculty, he says add a little attitude and washout. Pretty hard to deal with early in an airline career. Pinnacle is in the numbers business, every 10, wash out two.

I got a guy hired a few months back with 600/100.. no bridge programs or anything.
The minimums seem to change daily. Moving up in seniority should be pretty easy.. we are losing piles of guys to all different carriers... many to CO and FDX recently among a few others.
