Default Republic/Shuttle questions

Can anyone offer some insight regarding Republic/Shuttle America recalss and how the CBA reads regarding time to report.
RJet HR has sent out a recall with 7 days to respond for a suprising large number of E-170 Capts and some F.O.s In it they state that one can have as little as 14 days from recall to report. Is this addressed in your CBA? In previous lives the contracts I worked under gave a 30 day time period from notice of class to report, 14 days isn't feasable if one needs to give a 14 day notice at current job.(the 14th day could be the last work day, one should have time to go home, pack, then travel to training)
Part 2 to follow

"After delivery of a recall notice, a pilot will have seven (7) days to
notify the Company in writing that he is accepting recall or is
electing to bypass. A pilot may bypass recall without forfeiting his
seniority rights provided there is a furloughed pilot junior to him on
the seniority list whose recall would not cause the Company to
incur greater training costs. A pilot who elects to bypass will return
(in seniority order) only as vacancies occur. A pilot who accepts
recall will have fourteen (14) days after acceptance of recall to
report for duty from furlough."

So you can get 21 days by not accepting till day 7 then getting 14.

Part 2.
I am mystified. A few months ago RAH started a recall, then..oops..nope, in fact we will furlough unless concesstions. Now a recall posting for 72 E-170 Captains and 18 E-170 F.O.s. Huh? Everything I have heard is that RAH is parking Chautauqua jets&deferring E-190 orders. Now they need 90 pilots by June 1? Also, why 72 Captains but only 18 F.O.s?
Is this recall notice really just a "system bid" that in reality reflects a shuffling of flying from the E145's to the E170's? Or just a lateral move of E-170 flying in the Mci and Mke bases to E-170 flying in Cmh and some others?
In other words, is there really a recall of Midwest pilots here, or is it just a reshuffle of current RAH pilots (with all the life disruption it intails) and an easy way for RAH planners to gauge the interest from former YXers and hence future planning for when they do need to hire?
And yes, I know some will ask, why ask this on a forum , why not contact RAH? I have tried, no answer to my voice mai message. I have sent an email to the union. I have a generic note from them saying they are meeting with the company today..hopefully they will let us know something tomorrow. At this point though, no answers to any questions.
Hopefully some reader can offer some insights.
BTW..where is Toilet Duck? Haven't seen a post from him in a while.

No..you get 14 days from the day they tell you you have a class date. No one will quit their job until they have the class date in hand. The 7 days has no reflection on that.(since one has no idea if they will actually get a position with the acceptance. The 7 days is the time frame to tell them you will accept if offered...otherwise they can cut you from the list if you don't respond, obviously not everyone will get an offer of a class)

MaxQ, Don't quit your job for here. These openings for 72 Captains are really just going t be backfill for Chatauqua I here and only about 7-10 upgrades. If your willing to commute for one of the bases then bid, in not willing to commute, don't even think of it. As a former YXer, you can PM me if you have questions.

Is your avatar a former YX flight attendant? Sure looks familiar?
