Once again, I did not receive a direct deposit from Memphis. Why are some people not getting paid? I'm wondering if all the managers and execs got paid? Maybe I need to work harder. I guess all employees are equal, but some employees are more equal than others.
Thats great and all, but until ALPA realizes that they left off the second half of that statement, it doesn't mean anything. The second half being "If this does not occur, each pilot will be compensated X credit hours per calendar day that paychecks are late."

So I guess it wouldn't just be a statement that management has the money and the employees don't. Sure, it was just a bank error.

Rumor has it that First Tennessee didnt want to release the funds because some of the banks (which I thought were FDIC insured) could not guarantee the funds being transfered in...??? I heard that this afternoon...

Source? I had my check Saturday. This isn't the first time I've seen a screwup for the MLK holiday. Happened twice when I worked for RP. Everybody forgets this is a Federal holiday.

Not everybody forgets its a holiday. MLK was shot in Memphis. Shame on PCL for their lack of attention to a MAJOR detail. morons.

FDIC insurance has nothing to do with whether there are sufficient funds to meet withdrawal demands (payments / checks) of individual accounts - only that accounts will be made whole (up to a limit) in case banks can not honor demands due to lack of solvency or assets.

Hmmm...that doesn't sound encouraging for our friends at One Commerce Square. I should have known that Menke's corporate photo smiling in a vacant MEM terminal was foreboding.

Just answer the question: r u giving 5% back or not.
If anyone thinks a peddly 5% will "save" or "help" pinnacle, ur sadly mistaken.
Name one time in history that hourly rates of pilots ended an airline-- name one.
This is just a quIck and easy gimmie to mgmnt.
Want that 5%? Min 14 days off for line holders and reserves and time and a half above guarantee.

Very good point. They can't get a single thing right, it doesn't matter if it is the little details or the major details. Vacation, pay, insurance, uniforms, scheduling, training, nothing is done right. This company really doesn't deserve to be in business.

Just to clarify - FDIC insurance covers lack of assets / insolvency of the BANK, not an individual account owner - whether corporate or personal. In this case, it has absolutely nothing to do with condition of the airline.

Carry on here. Back to the Regional Bankers Forum...
