Good if you're marketable and have competitive times. If not, waste of money, IMO.

I agree with captainv. They're usually very well-attended events, both by airline reps and pilots. It's a great opportunity to take advantage, but if you're not already fairly close to meeting the mins at many of the airlines it may not be worth it. IIRC the most recent one held at ORD in Aug was something like $75 per person. Kinda pricy if you still have a lot of time to go before you're competitive.

With those times, it certainly couldn't hurt to attend the job fair then. I've spoken to a few pilots who have been hired at different regionals with those times, so give it a shot!

Couple of people I know got over 1k TT but have around 50-70 ME. They resorted to piedmont and commutair recently. You got over 100 ME so get your TT up a little then you will have many more options!

Thanks for the advice, I have been thinking the very same thing. If I give it another 6 months I would have over 800tt with over 200 ME turbine. I am just getting anxious, and don't want to miss an opening.
Thanks again

I'd go.

You're close and even if you don't get a job this time around, the experience of this Job Fair will make you more comfortable at the next one. It will give you an insight into what the airlines expect, the questions they ask and what they might be looking for in a pilot. It would give you an opportunity to observe other pilots and see what you might want to do (or not do) at the next Fair and give you a chance to assess what you did well on and what you could have done better on.

What type of ME Turbine are you flying? Is it PIC or SIC time?

I fly a Beech 18 with a Westwind conversion, which is they replace the pistons engines with PT6A-20, its PIC time. I sat in the right seat learning to handle it for over 40hrs before I even had my MEL ticket.

I saw you also have been talking about GIA, it seems to be hit or miss on that place. People hate it or think its a great place to get in and out.
