Considering I make my own schedule and go to sleep in the same bed every night.

I agree. If it was just a tomahawk that would be one thing, but you're logging some serious heavy time in a Warrior which has a back seat, so that should impress the legacies or a corporation with a bizjet.

Now if you only get more time with a fistful of saratoga, they may even want to move you up from the A320 to the 777 or citation to the GV. My advice is to keep flying the heavy warrior and try to get some widebody time in a saratoga and you'll be good to go.

You have no idea man. It's definitely impressing my boss enough for him to want to walk my resume in to Atlas airlines so I can sit right seat with him in the 747.

Just remember you won't have to keep resetting your D.G. in the whale and you'll do fine..............well, that and the realization you'll be at your typical warrior cruise altitude in the flare.

There is no pilot shortage. I can't foresee a time that ever happens. Only a shortage of pilots eagerly willing to work for $22500/yr.

I would say that you might be a little short sighted here. 500 hours in the right seat of an RJ made me insurable for the left seat of a King Air at $500 per day. Also, Delta (among others) will hire a Regional FO, but not a CFI. Lastly, it is very difficult to completely understand the value of something that you don't have.

"Phasing of Rule -A "knife edge" implementation would be extremely burdensome for air carriers"

What is the knife edge implementation?

I believe it refers to an exact date where the entire regulation would take effect, as opposed to a gradual change in the requirements.

Hourly pay is great and all...but again, what's the gross? How many hours per month do you get paid?

What's the W2 say?

What's the value of 401k contribution & other benefits?

Somebody can make $300/hr flying an airplane and be all snobbish about things, but if they only get paid for 10 hours/mo its absolutely no different than somebody earning $40/hr and getting paid for 75 hours other than being able to tell everybody "Hey I make _ per hour more than you do."

I had a career before this one, everyone complains about more pay. Thats what contract negotions are about. Even athletes making a gazillion bucks a game negotiate for more money, its the way the world works wether you're a pilot, janitor, construction worker, ect... I took my number in the 121 world, did my year of probation, and will ride it out and see where I sit in 10, 20, 30 years. I certainly didn't expect to start at 30 year 777 captain pay but I also make more than $35 an hour. Could it be more for the skill level and knowledge required, of course. Am I going to instruct till a seat opens up on a 747, hell to the no.
