Keep Out

This does suck, I use it all the time, I am never in uniform and am always polite. Mostly just use it to get away from the crew rooms. Sometimes they can get to be a bit much with all the complaining from crews.
But I knew it would never last. Too many people knew about it and abused it.

I agree, it was most likely some crews that abused it, acted like clowns and ruined it for the few of us that have some self control.
Now, these same people will whine and complain and say delta is so mean to us RJ crews and what not, despite it is due to their own bad behavior.
I honestly I am sick of flying with a lot of people at this airline who act like kids everywhere. Causing trouble for hotel staff, yelling at van drivers, abusing the breakfasts and taking 12 hard boiled eggs to eat late (yes, this happened).
Want to be treated like a professional adult, act like one for a change.
Rant over, I'm tired of this.

When I was at NetJets we had guys tossed out of those clubs while in uniform who had paid, non-discounted memberships. It's not just limited to regional pilots, it's uniformed pilots in general. Delta seemed to be the worst.

New rule is unless you are flying out that day (non-rev) then you cant go into the lounge anymore...
So im sure the next step will be people listing for a flight to get a ticket and then just not showing up at the gate... so give it a couple of months and the lounge will be totally blocked for staff. Always takes a few to ruin it for all.

Why would you be there if you were not flying? The last thing I want to do on my off time is hang out in an airport.

Many of us DCI kids have 4-5 hour breaks throughout every day of flying. If they want to change shirts in the bathroom and then hit the lounge for a quiet snack and free internet, this crackdown would not be good for them.
