Bose X vs. Bose QC-15's Uflymike in CRJ?
Hi all, wondering if anyone here has experience using both the Bose X and Bose QC-15's w/ the Uflymike combo in the CRJ-2/7/9?
I'm thinking about selling my Bose X's and switching to the Uflymike combo so that I will also have a good commuting headset. Plus it seems like after long days the lighter weight of the QC's will be nicer.
What are the pro's and con's between the two from your experiences?
Thanks!

Why don't you drop the Bose X and pick up Clarity Aloft. I sold my Bose on ebay and they went for 700. I had to come up with a mere 40.00 to get the Clarity Aloft TSO'd and I should've made the change a long time ago. Just my .02

I went from the Bose X and the Zulus to the Q2 mike. And it was an awesome choice. Much smaller and even better awesome for commuting . They sound just the same as the ones i spent 1000 dollars on back in the day.
Tso or not , I fly the Crj and they work awesome .

I absolutly recomend the QC-15 uflymike setup. I went without the TSO'd version and no one has ever said anything about them. The mike by the way comes with the sticker on it. Best headset I've ever used by far. Flown with both and having the ability to use the QC-15's while deadheading is worth it's weight in gold. That's my 2 cents worth.

Have used the QC2/15's with UFM for 5 years. Used and abused on nearly every continent.
Best thing about the QC2/15's. If/when they begin to wear out, take them to the Bose store and they'll exchange them for a brand new set for $100.

I have the QC-2 and would like to trade up to the QC-15 and then get the TSO'd UFlymike. When I called the Bose store they said I could upgrade for $100 but only if the QC-2s were defective. Does this sound correct to you?
Thanks Scoop

I've gone from Bose X to the Telex 850 and now the QC15/UFly. I'm thrilled with the Uflymike and like everyone else has said, the ability to use it outside of the cockpit is priceless. They are also the most comfortable on my large melon.

Sounds like it may be worth the switch. I don't believe my airline has a TSO requirement but I'll look into it. Either way I see them everywhere here and I've heard stories of FAA guys sitting in the jumpseat with a pair of QC's.
Thanks for the input everyone, much appreciated.
