Bose X vs. Bose QC-15's Uflymike in CRJ?

Simple enough?

As mentioned above I check the light before each leg and if it blinks I replace the battery right then. You can get up to 5 more hours while it is blinking, but why risk losing track of how much time is left? I go through about 2 batteries a month.
Also, one guy I was flying with had his traditional headset crap out on him during departure so he couldn't hear. It took him about 3 seconds to switch over to the aircraft speakers and use the hand mic.

[QUOTE=2StgTurbine;1054353]Yes. I sold my Zulus (No different than the Bose) and I am very happy. As mentioned before, they have a TSOd version, it is lighter, it fits in the flight case easily, I don't notice any difference in noise level, it is more versatile, and it is cheaper.
Why did you sell your Zulu's? I am also in the market for a new headset, and there are a few things I don't like about the QC's (mainly the funny look and the fact that the boom can only be one the one side)....What about the Zulu' s didn't you like? Thanks!

I don't care how I look in the QC's because I can't see myself in the cockpit . I never had a problem with the boom being only on one side. The Zulu was a good headset, but it was overkill in in the Q400. Active noise canceling works fine in the Q and I don't need the additional passive noise reduction that adds bulk and weight. The Zulu would also not fit in my flight case unless I bent it and jammed it in which would damage it over time.
