A little warmer, except it could end as soon as someone picks up the EAS contracts, otherwise forsure early 2012 but could happen next month if someone moved in to take over

Furloughs? Really?? C'mon. 40 pilots is 1.4% of the total group. Hard to believe any company, especially, one who cancelled FO vacations last month, cannot absorb those folks.

It just doesn't sound good that the company is pulling out of this flying only because of company organizational issues, this is only going to make things worse. It will cause more training events, require more pilots come off the line and make this thing an even big cluster. It makes the problem they are trying to solve that much worse.

Can anyone say they really didnt see this coming?

We all knew the slot swap thing was going to shut down USair regional flying at LGA...Boston is no surprise, 44 pilots really isnt enough to make the costs worth it...

Aren't the Colgan Airline Service Agreements month to month because of poor performance anyway?

That's what I've heard before too. Plus all the flying is at-risk so there's little to no profit there.
