Well at least new hires don't have to go through this confusion.

And yet another reason why ALPA is a worthless bloated organization.
How is it ALPA's fault? You took a job at an airline with a crappy contract....so did I. I got the same check in training you did. You need to remember that stipend in training was paid at 1099 wages. That means you are a contractor, not an employee. That whole thing was a sham. Let's not forget our guys who paid for their training. Go read ALPA merger policy and let me know what date of hire is defined as.

Like I said before, our guys should have never fought this fight and just put our start of class as our doh. But they didn't, just like they didn't do a lot of things to protect our senority interests.

ALPA is terrible. No question about it. If they weren't, they would be in charge of the dog and pony shows that occur at all levels of airlines.

How are they terrible? Is it because you didn't get what you wanted. If you want something why do you do something about it?

I'm sure your answer is to do nothing and continue complaining. Pretty much all our pilot group has done for a long time. ALPA is made up of our own pilots. You can't blame national because we put idiots in charge. That is both your and my fault.

Maybe the problem is we are terrible.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

Allthough, I agree... ALPA National may lopsidedly favor major airlines over regional. I had my first taste of how ALPA is different on different playing fields. XJ PBS training included videos, definitions of each available bidding preference, and points valuation. 9Es had cool pictures of Yoda and Anchorman, and basically said bid low medium high. Just wait til the junior XJ guys outbid you. It's coming if that is your level of understanding of the system.

I'd be careful about claiming to understand 9E PBS. My guess is a lot of baffled XJ guys.

I'm guessing we met last week. If you understood XJ PBS and have seniority, carry on. If you don't have the same seniority "horsepower" you may want to contact us. It's close, but different. Even though it looks the same, currently what's under the hood isn't the same.
