I respect your opinion and see where you're coming from, but think about this for a second. The restrictions basically allow XJ and 9L pilots free reign on the 200's. Because of this realignment and consequential displacements there are about 10-14 9E Captains being displaced to the right seat. You're talking about money and families, what about these guys? These guys have waited years for a little bit of breathing room and when they finally get it its yanked right out from under them. MEANWHILE XJ AND 9L FIRST OFFICERS WERE AWARDED CAPTAIN POSITIONS. I REPEAT, XJ AND 9L FIRST OFFICERS WERE AWARDED CAPTAIN POSITIONS WHILE 9E CAPTAINS WERE BUMPED BACK INTO THE RIGHT SEAT. See my point? I'm not down for furloughs, but this is pretty close to the same thing in my book. These guy are having their paychecks cut in half while FO's from other airlines are upgrading. Not cool in my book, not cool. This alone made the entire ISL and Restrictions a complete and utter GoFu.

It never was "us" vs "them". It was one pilot group not benefiting from the SLI, and for that I feel for them. I have a lot of good friends over at Pinnacle, and talk to them regularly about what is going on. If anything, it should be 9E pilots vs their merger committee/Bloch. Let's see how this bid shapes up since they are in the process of correcting errors and fixing it as we speak.

I understand that and I don't mean to come across that way, but you have to at least agree that it just ain't right. I don't care how you slice it or what angle you look at it from. We're a new company now, but that facts remain and people don't forget.

I'm all about less drama in the work place, but that doesn't mean we're stupid. I have made peace with the fact that both pilot groups had their knife in their teeth to get the upperhand on all this mess, we win some, we lose some, and I'm ok with that...
I just don't want to hear anybody from anywhere (union, company, fellow pilots) feeding me bullish!t about us being "brothers" and "sisters"...

I couldn't agree more with the last sentence. I remember when it was time to walk the line in Memphis last year, Xj said we're not walking with you. That was a slap in the face for 9e pilots. Weeks later, when the page was turned, XJ was all about "let's put the past behind us, we're one pilot group now, let's hug it out..."... Well, later on when it was time for the SLI, XJ started raising hell about 9e's switch from check ride date to class date for integration purposes, this change was done months before, but apparently now it was an issue... Page is turned again and I'm hearing talks now about "one family" and "one single group"? c'mon now, am I the only one here that sees a pattern?

I have 500 pilots at 9E with DOH later than mine senior to me now, I got bent over the barrel on this integration as bad as anyone. And I would never take out my frustrations on anyone at 9E.
I'm about to go to 200 class at 9E and I'm going to make friends and have fun, and after you fly with me you'll be saying, "XJ guys are pretty cool!" and your FA's will be saying, "damn, I wish he'd mark an X in my J!"
Be a professional and realize we all work for the same crappy company now.

Ummm.... Us 9L folks didnt walk with u either, as we were asked not to be our MEC along with Mesaba's MEC. We follow our MEC, as they are our leaders, and I'm proud to have them as our MEC. Looks we got the contract, so not walking didn't hurt any of us. In all honesty, the only people that seem like they dont want to be a part of any family is 9E and their own merger committee. That's just what I see from day to day stuff.

I hope you leave this crap out of the cockpit and at the ballot box where it belongs, otherwise you're going to be one miserable individual.

Lets talk about "one family" We wanted to picket and XJ, 9L, National, and Delta MEC asked us not too. The family said dont picket but our jokers did it anyway.
We were the break in unity when everyone else disagreed.
