Since when do you need cash to buy an airline? Just refinance the debt, or do that ultra-cool owner financing thingy a la Mesaba......

I'm embarrassed to even be associated with this group that is now "one." It wasn't great before, but now it's a joke. What a selfish, childish group!

Work toward an improved contract, agree to merge the lists, agree to arbitration, then attempt to decertify or implement an loa to negate the ruling? Make sense to anyone? This "It didn't benefit me so it must be changed" attitude is ridiculous (and I lost nearly 12% relative in this deal).

Can you hear the laughs? They're not laughing with you. Disgusting...

As a person who lost 23+% relative seniority no... I would not be on board to decertify... I think that would be a very poor decision. We have some FO's who are 06/07 hires that didn't upgrade because of military service (thank you all servicemen btw)... they could have been in Group 3 but as such are now junior to all XJ/9E Jet FO's... they aren't *****ing.... so why are you?

Just out of curiosity what company do you work for? Did your company take pilots off the seniority list for military service? That doesn't sound legal. Regardless if they upgraded or not, their seniority should be the same. Either you are not understanding the award correctly or those pilots wrongly had their seniority stripped of them for military service.

You apparently don't understand the way the list was created.

It was created in a "stovepipe," or better stated "best position you can hold" manner.

Meaning, if there are 300 XJ CRJ-900 slots, the top 300 XJ guys integrated with that group. Regardless if they were bidding 900 CA, FO, or even Saab FO.

You know.... you're right... the way I worded that sounds pretty funky huh? I am wrong. You are correct.... I apologize.

Hmm, maybe they can get DAL to finance Comair and get the ASA pushed back to 2050.

It's not hard to understand. When there are elder "role" models at USAirways East who lead by example and create their own dictionary to redefine words such as "binding," why wouldn't someone look up to mainline pilots to defend their position?

As you stated, if you don't understand the words "binding arbitration" before you start the process, either 1) go back to school and get educated as to what the term means or 2) settle the list yourselves so no outside person decides for you. In either case, the blame lies completely with each MEC, not ALPA who gave you the tools and not the arbitrator who was selected to settle your dispute.
