With outstations on the way out it will be mostly overnights.
Until you are a senior lineholder I would plan on a crashpad as the majority of the multi day trips are not commutable on both ends. I would plan on at least spending one night per week in the crashpad. You can do a hotel if youd like as well but the crashpad is usually a better bet.

In IAH, you will need a crash pad. Many of the lines are reserve, stand ups, some day trips, and a few mixed lines. VERY FEW front and back commutable lines.

EWR is your best bet. your position is a Q400? You have a long way to go and many tests, checkrides and line checks to pass before you can claim the Q as yours. We had 6/18 washout when I was in training. Don't claim what's not yours yet
