I interviewed yesterday at MSP. 6 people there to interview I know 2 made it through and 3 didn't not sure about the other one. Very good people there and a great interview process. Mesaba has put things well together there and have a really nice pad. Other gouges from the past month or so are spot on. You will fly in the day before and get put up in the hotel. When you grab something to eat that night go to Dickes BBQ best I have ever had hands down. After that just relax and look over some stuff I was lucky and met 2 other guys that was interviewing and we all look over some stuff. Also if you ask the front desk they will tell you how many people is staying for the interview there. Next morning take the 6:30 shuttle and you will be at mesaba by about 6:35 short ride. You will sign in and the interview will start about 8. First is the presentation which last about a hour just telling about the company and pay and everything. Ross and a Captain of a Q400, Ross will also do your sim eval a very funny and nice guy and easy to get along with. After that you will take the 2 written test, first comes the wonderful Wonderlic test its tough but just google some and look some over and you will be fine. Remember just do the ones you know and dont get stuck on the hard ones. After that a basic part 91 instrument written very very easy you must make a 80% or better. I cant remember the questions but its simple just look over the oral for instrument book. Stuff like what airspeed under class B? Under 10,000? just simple stuff. After that finger printing. Then you will go to the waiting area has vending machines and stuff get comfy you will spend a couple hours in there. They will take you out of the oral and tech questions two at a time and different rooms depending on what time your flight leaves. Oral is a bunch of what would you do if? tell me about a time that? and tech was very simple for me, tell about the last twin engines you flown. Two questions about runway signs and that was it. As far as the HR question its simple stuff and Im not gonna post them because they wont different answers and you can look them up on other gouges they are all the same why here? why you? stuff like that. If you do well enough on the written and oral you will then sign a letter for a offer depended on the sim and other stuff. Sim eval very straight forward with Ross. He will explain what to do and when to do it and tell you what ever you need to know listen to him he is there to help. Departure and the climb airspeed of a 100kts out weather is 400 overcast and 1sm eval does not start until 1000 feet. Different climb airspeeds and headings then tune in a Vor and find where you are at from it, then the question what heading to go direct. It has a HSI so it is very simple. One 360 degree steep turn then either way at a airspeed of 130kts then vectors for a ILS. He will pause the sim and you brief and set everything up for the approach. 100 kts on airspeed and bust out at 300 feet then the eval is over and he talks you through the landing. Be very easy on the sim and it is easy to fly if your rough you will be all over the place. He will also fill you in on all of this before you fly. Again Ross is one of the nicest guys there you will like him. Then drug test and back to the airport and thats it. It is a long day but not to bad of a interview take your time when asked a question and relax you will do fine. This was my first airline interview and I was kinda stressed cause I didnt know what to think but it was not bad at all. They said I would know something in 7 to 10 days and class will be April the 11th on the Q400 I hope I get it. Hope this helps and Good LUCK!

Does anyone else have an interview coming up? I'll be there next Tuesday.
The most recent info here is that reserve time on the Q at EWR is relatively short. Does anyone have any updated info on that, maybe a ballpark number. I'd even take educated speculation.
