The most recent split class...all in MEM for indoc, SF3 systems in MEM, DH4 systems in STL, DH4 sims, 4 guys in STL, 8 in SEA. Not sure about the breakdown of Saab sims.

DH4 systems is only in STL until the free type ratings run out. After that all will be in MEM and be in house. Bombardier picks up the bill for a few per plane when you buy a plane.

Disaster waiting to happen? Indeed!

I don't like them but we have been doing two leg highspeeds at Mesaba for years in the crazy weather winter brings to the north.

Seems to be a Saab specialty then, two leg stand-ups/high speeds/CDO's/whatever you want to call them but they shouldn't be allowed.

Ah, yes, I should have specified, this was just my particular class. We had a Colgan instructor at Flight Safety (the previous class had a Flight Safety guy, I believe?), so I'm not sure if we're the last group to go through but I imagine we're on the tail end? #30 is coming online in August if I heard correctly on the conference call. I don't know how many more crews they're sending through but the class after us was also supposed to be the last Colgan class before they were all Mesaba classes...but this new development with the operating certificates switch up might change that...or not.

This is obviously until the next batch of orders. 757 orders that is. Don't think I forgot about that promise.

The problem as someone said before is people are not resting when they are supposed to on those schedules. I did stand ups for a few months and they are really not that big of a deal as long as you sleep during the day when your off instead of trying to sleep in the hotels.

I know there's a Colgan class for 6/7... don't know if that's the last one... was your class all Saab or were there still some Q's in there?

We started on 4/11, 12 Qs and 6 Saabs. There was a 5/2 class, all Saabs, smaller than my class I think, but I'm not sure of the numbers.

Who are you talking to? I see no reference on this page.

Either way, your post is not constructive and has nothing to do with "Colgan life". It also appears that you do not work, have not worked and do not plan to work for Colgan. Try to keep on topic and keep your comments constructive.
