Im willing to bet things will be up in the air until seniority is complete. You might have Mesaba Saab drivers bid into the Q because of the pay bump which might push many of the new guys into reserve or perhaps another base. Time will tell. Either way we have a great pilot group! Welcome aboard

Colgan / Mesaba
I had my interview with Mesaba on 4/20. I got a call yesterday offering me the job, unfortunately HR said that the May 23rd class has been cancelled and the May 9th class is full. Has anyone heard on if they plan on hiring more people eventually? For now I am in a pool until they figure things out.

Yea... when I read this I thought... no way.. The award is out and it looks like 12 spots for Lga Saab and no 900 for new hires.. Unless I missed something.

Wouldn't get too shook up over the class "cancellation". The 23rd was intended to be a CRJ class. They shifted the CRJ dates some with the award but the class is still taking place with pilots that were already on property.
Magnus, it would be a safe assumption that management is waiting to set any other class dates until SLI is sorted out to avoid the costs associated with multiple training/reinstatement events. Don't hold your breath waiting to hear anything before then. You'll just have to wait things out with the rest of us... The sky isn't falling, yet.

I don't quite understand the theory behind the class cancellations. Here at 9L we are WAY understaffed on the Q FO side of things....especially in IAH. No reserve lines and everyone is forced to fly 85-90 hour lines with all 4 day trips, with an increase in overall flying throughout May and June. I've even heard of flight cancellations due to lack of crews.
