Nope. It's all pointless now. A week ago in the 4/11 class thread everyone was sure it was all Q and someone said how well staffed the Saabs are. I fully believe CRJPlt here. Get used to the mushroom treatment. I'm just going to show up and fly whatever they tell me to fly.

Well since I am young I am going to plan on the Saab and if I get the Q it would be a nice surprise. Anyone know which Saab base is hurting most?

One of my favorite Colgan training department experiences

"Go home relax unwind it will be atleast a month before we can get you in for IOE" - Check Airman who did our type ride

less than 48 hours later

"Where are you? We need you in Newark tonight to start IOE" - Crew Scheduling

Do not remember but does anyone recall what the hiring is for? Is it still for the new Qs being delivered and attrition? Or is it for the new rest rules.

I would take a look at this and contact your state representatives

It's not all that bad, just don't make any plans until your done with IOE and officially out of the training department's hands. Just trying to prep you and have you not get frustrated because you don't know when things are going to happen. We as pilots, in nature, want to know things now and have everything all nice and planned out and know what to expect when. Just saying you can't do that here. But just relax and don't worry about it. Enjoy it...

No, I know and I appreciate it. This isn't really shocking news or anything and it's nothing that's got me too concerned. It'd be nice to know certain things but one way or the other it's going to get done so all you can do is roll with it and try to have a good time. At least you're getting paid if they sit you for a couple of weeks between the type ride and IOE. I can't say the same for the two week sit between ground school and training I had at my current job. Also there's no use in *****ing about it when I signed up for it.

Just talked to the HR a couple days ago. She told me she was who placed pilots in the planes. And told me we are still on the Q but to expect anything she said that it is possible. So she dont even really know, but she did say the if it was split the ppl with the highest time will go to the Q. The age determines senoirity but TT makes aircraft placement. So who knows what to expect, just expect the unexpected haha

Good info...if it's still correct. There's just way too much directly conflicting information out there right now. The only thing I think we can all agree on is that we all will have no idea until we show up. Time to start comparing total time...

Change of subject, but has anyone stayed at the Crowne Plaza in MEM? I found a grocery store and a Walgreens within walking distance (about 0.5 and 0.7 miles respectively), but does the hotel shuttle ever make store runs? Three weeks is a long time to subsist on continental breakfast and fast food (especially with no per diem clock running).
