Pinnacle hiring freeze
#21
I would certainly feel bad about all those cadets out of CAPT looking for a regional job if Pinnacle puts a hiring freeze on. But then again, that's all CAPT's fault for not having the 7-9 guaranteed interview agreements in place as they (falsely) advertised back when the program first started. And since ASA is not hiring, I guess the only place for them to go is Focus Air pushing papers and pray that Focus gets their act together and fulfill their employment promises to the cadets for those FE and eventually FO positions on those 747's. Good times...I feel bad for anyone even thinking about going to CAPT despite what they're trying to peddle next with their resurrection.

Great thats just what the commercial aviation world will need 250 hour pilots flying 747's.... I must say if that comes true that will be it.. The aviation profession will have OFFICIALLY BOTTOMED OUT... there will be nowhere else lower to go.... I am officially amazed.

And on a side not talk about a CRAPPY PAY scale... About $42k a year to start as a 74 FO/FE and and topping out as a 5 year CA at about $92K... There again ROCK BOTTOM.... it truely is pathetic... and on a side note you know you got it bad when Kallita looks better than you do.....

new hires as of This Month
On Wednesday, August 30th, Pinnacle Airlines' Chief Pilot, HR
Representatives, and members of a Captains' Board interviewed 11 pilot
applicants on-site at ATP's headquarters in Jacksonville Beach,
Florida. Out of these 11 applicants, Pinnacle hired 8 First Officers
who will start their training with Pinnacle in mid-September.
Congrats to the 8 from ATP.

did you see what those ATP guys PAID? Oh My Gawd! Let's see $78,000 divided by 20.43 an hour, so 3820 hours at 80 hours a month (avg) = 47 months. So Four years to break even if one does not eat or need a place to live.

Last time I checked it was 53K. Who says they didn't pay cash. I plan on paying cash and will have no less than 70K put aside for ATP when I'm ready to go. I don't plan on doing anything other than the basic program. Time building will be done as a CFI for them. I'm flexible and should have no problem getting to a regional within 24 months from start date.
