Comair to meet with F/A's next week

The F/A's seem very adamant about walking if the company bends them over. Here's hoping that they come to some mutual agreement so Comair can get back on its feet and possibly grow.

Although I say that if somebody needs to sink an entire airline to give those A$$ holes in management the message that we are serious then so be it... good for them it's about time somebody took the ballsy path...

Im not worried about strike talk a bit. If a judge lets the company throw out the contract no way he will allow a strike. If he would allow a strike he never would have allowed the contract to be thrown out in the 1st place. The paycuts are alive and well. I look forward to a brighter tomorrow once the FAs are dealt with. Honestly no one employee group should be allowed to "shut a company down". If they want to quit thats fine just don't expect your job back

The mod that banned me at flightinfo made an emotional decision not a rational one. Lets just say if I said such things about management I wouldn't have ever been banned. Pilot forums never accept the anti-union stance because they are too afraid to debate the facts. They use emotional not logical arguments

No one here at comair has ever worked for free. Lets face it the FA profession was never meant to be a career. No one, including pilots, rampers, dispatchers, FAs, etc. etc. should ever be allowed to shut the airline down via a "kicking and screaming" fit. Logic should always prevail.

An extreme hypothetical for you D'Angelo:
Suppose Comair was "forced" by the management through bankruptchy judge to be paid minimum wage for every flight hour.
So, say $5.15 / hour on a 75 hour monthly guarantee.
That's what ? $386.25 per month.
Would you fly the shiny CRJ for this wage?
Of course that wouldn't happen, this is an extreme hypothetical.
But you get the point?
There comes a point where it just won't be worth it to fly with the wage that management is offering. That's why people have the 'burn the place down' attitude.

Oh if this were to happen trust me. People would quit in droves. You see everyone has the right to quit anytime they like. The problem with a strike is people have the nerve to demand their job back if they get what they want. Going on strike is having no spine. No someone with true courage quits with the real risk that they may not get their job back. If the 2nd year wage was dropped to $21/hour with 75 hour guarantee I would simply quit. If the company survives then enough people wanted to work under those terms. You see I don't think its right to throw a tantrum, take the whole company down along with all the other employees that MAY STILL WANT TO WORK UNDER THOSE TERMS. If enough people walk not only will they raise the salary again they will probably be asking those who quit to come back. The right to strike seriously needs to be eliminated from the law books ASAP. Arbitration now. BTW if people don't agree with the arbitratiors decision they can also quit. If enough quit a new deal will have to be made.

D'Angelo's age. I will try 20 to 25. Too young to know what unions are for and what they did back in the day. D'Angelo comes from a generation that expects stuff to get handed to them. I am willing to bet that you may even got a hug when you did something wrong.
