No someone with true courage quits with the real risk that they may not get their job back. If the 2nd year wage was dropped to $21/hour with 75 hour guarantee I would simply quit. If the company survives then enough people wanted to work under those terms. You see I don't think its right to throw a tantrum, take the whole company down along with all the other employees that MAY STILL WANT TO WORK UNDER THOSE TERMS. If enough people walk not only will they raise the salary again they will probably be asking those who quit to come back. The right to strike seriously needs to be eliminated from the law books ASAP. Arbitration now. BTW if people don't agree with the arbitratiors decision they can also quit. If enough quit a new deal will have to be made.
So Im guessing you weren't there walking for 89 days with your fellow crew members?

Hey now.... I'm 25 years old and even I know a lot better than this guy..... As for wages and people quiting well the problem is that by quiting and not striking management doesnt get the message. So management will have no incentive to bargain and correct the error of their ways. A strike however shuts down the entire shop and forces their hand.... While I in many ways wish that we as airline employees could reach resonable agreements with our management with out having to go through the song and dance of negotiations and labor actions, I have come to the realization that it, at this point in time is simply not possible. Mangement wants more money in their own pockets and the airlines stock to go up and the way they have decided to do this is by attacking labor. We on the other hand need a livable wage, its sad but this is reality. On a side note D'Angelo Im not sure but Im guessing you work for Comair?? Correct me if Im wrong but as I remember that nice pilot contract you have right now was brought to you by a strike was it not?? Food for thought.

Nope I wasn't with Comair in 2001 however I do believe it was a strike that was in vein. The market couldn't bear the contract and therefore we had to vote on the paycuts. All we need is a deal that the Flight Attendants claim is worth 8.9 mil and we will finally get to move on. The company claims it's 7.9 mil in savings. FAs claim its over 12 mil. Time for management to use the FAs numbers so they can impose all the cuts on everyone.

Why is it so hard to believe there are actually moderates out there? I drink neither management koolaid nor union koolaid. I simply for my own opinons based on the facts.
