The CRJ lands surprisingly well on just two gear (in my experience) and I understand the only major repairs for this one were the slats and flaps so I'm sure you're right and it will be up and airborne in a few months. (though on 511 it seemed to have recurring slat issues after this) I seem to be noticing a trend with the CRJ series and gear issues though.

Just curious, what are company/recommended EPs for this?
Fuel transfer?
Land on centerline or left of centerline?
Is it possible to match right wing drag with left wheel braking to track centerline or is that a crap shoot?
Any idea of approx speed at which the wingtip touches?

Isn't it a federal offense to disobey a crewmember in the performance of their duty and isn't it a requirement that all electronics be in the "off" position for takeoff and landing? As long as the rules require devices to be off, the feds need to enforce them, they should go after this guy trying to get his 15 minutes of fame.

Talking heads on CNN say;
"It's situations like these that make you realize what the flight attendants and pilots are actually there for"
I guess it just takes an averted disaster to get some recognition in this biz...
Great job to the crew!

No guidance written out, per se, but mainly it's just up to us to do the ' pilot ' thing and follow the QRH, which prob doesn't include any type of fuel transfer but mainly just burn it off to allow for low fuel on arrival and enough for a go around just in case. I flew with a guy who had ' slider 3 ' here in ATL and he said he jumped on the opp. brake big time and held it off as long as possible and flew the wing onto the ground in place of allowing it to just drop which seems to be exactly what JC did in this case. Can't really approximate the speed at which the wing touches but it was prob. around 100 or so being that they touched down after Vref of prob. 145 or so and ground spoilers deployed along with braking matched to fly the wing onto the ground.

Good luck with that. The pax will be a hero for filming it, the pilot will be chastized for not getting the gear down before landing.... then will be second guessed by every idiot on the block why he didn't "dump more fuel, 3000 gallons is too much to land with" I fly this plane, yes I know what is completely retarded with both parts of that quote.
