Addressed to OO Poolies, from Manager of Crew Resources:

"Hello All, I have some great news. We will have approximately 10 openings in our September 26th EMB120 class. Due to time constraints, it would help out a great deal if you would email me your status asap. I will need to have firm answers from each of you by 12:00 noon MST, Friday September 10th in order to accommodate a two week notice to your current employer. As always, please do not give notice to your current employer until I have made contact with you via phone to confirm your position in class. I look forward to speaking with each of you soon."

I wonder how far down the poolie list they will have to go to get the 10? My guess is after 2.5 years a good percentage have found something else.

How many guys showed up for class today, the 8th? There's only 11 new names on the seniority list, not the expected 20.

So all 20 did show up for class? I'm just trying to understand why the seniority list shows 12 (12 today, 11 yesterday) EMB FO's in training instead of 20. By new names I meant any name that wasn't on the list a month ago.

Any speculation on when the pool may be drained to give us guys off the street a chance?

Not all 19 United flew for SkyWest previously. In my interview group of 12, I'm going to guess that 4 or 5 flew previously.

All 20 showed up for class the other day. I got that straight from someone at SkyWest, who I spoke to earlier today on another subject.

I was also told that they went ~1/3 down the poolie list to fill the 26 Sep class; my guess is that I'll be one of the few UAL furloughees in the class.

Addressed to OO Poolies, from Manager of Crew Resources:

"Congratulations to those of you who were awarded the September 26th EMB-120 New Hire class. It has been a very long wait indeed and I so appreciate your patience. I was able to award 14 positions to the group.
Although I don’t know what the immediate future will bring regarding more class dates, this is certainly great news and a step in the right direction.
Enjoy your weekend!"

jc, based on that information, UAL furloughees filled 25 (19+6) of the allocated 36 Jets for Jobs slots.

Andy,

I’m a bit surprised that UAL furloughed folks didn’t cover all 36, but it may have been a communication issue (or desire?). At any rate, great to see movement.
