on a side note, I think it would have been smarter to rename asa to expressjet. Asa or atlantic southeast still is ASA and people have a low opinion of it.

And with 2/3 of the pilot group from XJT...should be a wild ride.

Yeah, and USAPA had a team of lawyers telling them they'd win hand's down too.

How many pilots are in the group over at Express Jet? Do they have any furloughs? How many planes in the fleet? Thanks

There's this jiffy neat website called Airline Pilot Central that has all this stuff, you should check it out! Wish I had the address though...

I am ASA pilot. Skywest Inc our parent co. has approved ASA to buy Expressjet. I can only assume that Skywest didn't buy them themselves because they are non-union and didn't want the headache. Our Co web site is stating that expressjet will be merged with ASA. If Delta and NW got it figured out i'm sure we can also. Although I think the purchasing Co should come out better. I hated when the media kept say the Delta NW "merger". Delta BOUGHT NW they did not merge with them. ASA is BUYING ExperssJet not merging with them. I don't expect the seniority list to be put on the bottom of ours, but I don't think me or any of my fellow pilots at ASA pilot should lose anything or positions because we are BUYING them. Oh Yeah since when has ASA had a bad reputation. IF we are so bad why are we about to be the biggest regional in the country.
